From Buckbarrow CP, Greendale. 10 km, 740 m asc. Up by Gill Beck, over Buckbarrow, Glade How, Cat Bields and on to the Seatallan trig. Descend NE and contour SE over Winscale Hows to the P465 bog and up to Middle Fell summit. Descend SW and S to Greendale. Misty doldrums: the calm between the storms.SalmonJoe30/01/2022
Greendale - Middle Fell, Seatallan (now good bucket steps up the steep fellside), Buckbarrow Moss, Brown How (care needed in descent where the steep rocky defiles of the Tongues Gills join Greendale Gill - keep high until E).Isbjorn30/01/2022
From limited parking at Greendale NY144055, up the public FP on E side of beck, high TR around E side of Greendale Tarn (lots of slippery bouldery terrain, or else boggy terrain on W side) to col at NY148080, past pt.512 and up N ridge to summit. Descended SW ridge which used to be a faint track in the grass but is now almost a motorway, such has become the popularity of this fell.Isbjorn29/01/2022

From Greendale (no Postman Pat seen) up the good path to Middle Fell. Witnessed the end of summer sheep round up whilst walking over to High Pikehow. Once sheep cleared we went up the NE flank of Seatallan then took in the interesting summits of Glade How and Buckbarrow. A good path through the bracken got us back to Greendale Gill and a much needed dip on a very hot day.summitter14/09/2020
