Stonethwaite > Big Stanger Gill> Racom Bands > Bessyboot > Rosthwaite Cam > Stickle Brow > Woof Stones > Stonethwaite. Just me as the dog refused to leave the house. Glorious day with scattered couds and hardy a breath of wind, largely dry underfoot. So good to back to the fells.johnkaysleftleg14/04/2021
After a decent break on Glaramara we headed across to Bessyboot. This was a very tricky route, no paths going up and down weaving though the crags of comb head, dovenest top and Rosthwaite fell and cam. By the time we got to Tarn at leaves we were flagging but did the final push to the top were we sat for sometime more to rest our legs than for the views. After the break we made our way down the very rocky feet destroying path which seemed to take a long time. We stopped at teebay on the way home for a cake and a black pudding scotch egg before fueling up on an Indian takeaway and hoping we had just enough in the tank for Mellbreak tomorrow.Scotty 2 Hotty10/04/2021
