Third hill of the day after Burnbank Fell and Blake Fell from Fangs Brow Farm. | Peterb | 16/03/2024 |
On a round of Loweswater - Burnabnk Fell, Blake Fell, Gavel Fell, Low Fell, Fellbarrow, from car park at N end of Loweswater. 18.5km, 5h20 | Rockdoctor | 03/03/2024 |
Parked at Maggies Bridge. The round of Mellbreak North and South Tops, Hen Comb, Floutern Cop, Banna Fell E Top, Gavel Fell, Blake Fell and Burnbank Fell. Cloudy day with some sun but chilly NE wind. Some snow left on the top of Blake Fell from the weekend but surrounding higher hills looked impressive - across to Grasmoor and Red Pike/High Stile. Worth mentioning the good track not on the map heading off NE from Burnbank that curls N to meet up with the bw below and facilitate a more direct return to Maggies Bridge.
