Alone from the Pass. Dry & but blustery. Initially through Forest.Gazza195108/11/2021
With Sarah Evans, showers. Parked at visitors centre, followed green trail until the point where we continue up to Lords Seat, along ridge line onto Broom Fell and onto Graystones. Went to various cairns as wasn't sure which was true summit. Descended via steep wall path down edge of Darling How Plantation, where felling and forestry work was occurring. Walked up road to Spout Force waterfall car park, following forest track to base of Whinlatter. Slight deviation from route getting onto Whinlatter as we lost the path, but re found it at the top, along ridge line and descended back into forest and to visitors centre. Managed to get back to visitors centre in time for cake and hot choc.Ruth Mackay04/10/2021
TC, EC. Great views over towards Hopegill Head and Grisedale Pike. Interesting that this website does not class the higher Whinlatter Top as a Wainwright. Just as well that we went on to Brown How!TopCat195927/09/2021

3/3 of my 3rd Round Wainwrights for the day. Whinlatter both summits from Whinlatter Pass, then on to Tarbarrel Moss and Ullister Hill, finally a new summit for me Seat How – a splendid viewpoint. A round trip of 10km with 400m ascent in 2½ hours. (S)silveracorn_alan27/08/2021

Circuit from Whinlatter Forest main carpark. Whinlatter Top -> Brown How -> Graystones (Birkett top) -> Graystones (Wainwright top) -> Widow Hause -> Broom Fell -> Lord's Seat -> Barf -> Ullister Hill -> Seat How. Dry with good views until Broom Fell. Then low cloud and drizzle for the rest of the walk.alistairpooler31/07/2021
I shortcutted from Barf towards Ullister Hill but lost my bearings and wasted energy finding the path. Follow the green trail markers down through the forest. At a road junction follow another path (cycle trail) that will take you to a fence. Hop the fence and walk south towards Whinlatter Fell. The descent back to the Whinlatter Pass was also difficult. There is a large drystone wall and a robust sheep fence.philip_firth29/06/2021
