On a round of Loweswater - Burnabnk Fell, Blake Fell, Gavel Fell, Low Fell, Fellbarrow, from car park at N end of Loweswater. 18.5km, 5h20Rockdoctor03/03/2024
Parked at Maggies Bridge. The round of Mellbreak North and South Tops, Hen Comb, Floutern Cop, Banna Fell E Top, Gavel Fell, Blake Fell and Burnbank Fell. Cloudy day with some sun but chilly NE wind. Some snow left on the top of Blake Fell from the weekend but surrounding higher hills looked impressive - across to Grasmoor and Red Pike/High Stile. Worth mentioning the good track not on the map heading off NE from Burnbank that curls N to meet up with the bw below and facilitate a more direct return to Maggies Bridge. Solorichard6903/03/2024

A round of the Loweswater Fells from Maggies Bridge, visiting Mellbreak (both tops), Scale Knott, Hen Comb, Floutern Cop, Banna Fell (E Top), Gavel Fell, Blake Fell, Carling Knott, and Burnbank Fell. A lovely autumn day, with the Buttermere area getting the best of the sunny weather, most of the Lakeland Fells were capped with mist. 23km with 1200m ascent taking me 8 hours.silverwolf_alan27/10/2023

Waterend cp past Hudson Place and along lakeside path, first track up quite overgrown, so carried on to end of wood where path climbed up west to recently felled section blocking the path, turned south east up improved track until it turned overgrown and boggy, cut back west up path to 10 meters from top wall of wood. Nipped over wall onto Coffin Path. Followed this north west to 113217, where steep path leads up to pile of stones, then good path to summit.Flatfield26/08/2023

Maggie's Bridge - Gavel Fell High Nook - Gavel Fell - Blake Fell- Burnbank Fell Easy path to follow, good conditions, best views from Blake Fellmatty1971b15/08/2023
From the long lay-by in Loweswater up through various paths to join the track towards High Nook and then the path up to Burbank continuing on to Owsen Fell before retuning the same way. Met a local who is a neighbour of the much commented on irascible farmer in Lamplugh, living next door hasn't saved him from a telling off from both the farmer and his wife when using an apparently much used local cut through that includes the farmers field. With Boris.ytfckent24/07/2023
This was Wainwright number three of the day. We were expecting the one off to the side to be the Wainwright so double checked the map. There was a clear view of the estuary and the Isle Of Man seemed enormous today.JThorn27/05/2023

Traversed North to the bottom of the open fell after the trees then onto the road for the return.nukeboy101/04/2022

Up to Gavel Fell summit and back over Blake Fell and the Burnbank Fell summit fence corner. Cold and a bit frozen underfoot which was nice for the usually boggy bits.SalmonJoe11/02/2022

Amazing day out with trimarc2 & GFE. Cloudy initially but up to 20 degrees and sunny by the end of the day. A little later setting off as snuck in Whinlatter parkrun first. Finished for the most incredible pub meal (and drinks outside) at Kirkstile inn. Not like the Bank Holiday weekend experience over Keswick way I'm sure!Fionalevey28/08/2021

Walk from Loweswater car park (NY134210). Pleasant initial ascent through Holme Wood onto open fell, then a very steep climb to Burnside summit. Need to hop a fence near the summit, no stile.philip_firth30/06/2021
