From the small parking area at the foot of the direct ascent of the west end of Rannerdale Knotts, along the ridge and then up the track to the top of Whiteless Pike, where the wind was still a gale and the mist was down. Retraced route to the col at east end of the Rannerdale Knotts ridge, returning via Rannerdale to the car. 8km with 700m ascent in 3 hours.silverwolf_alan22/08/2023

First ever Wainwright. Rannerdale Knotts & Buttermere shore circular route. JSA Hiking group, end of summer meet up. 8.02km total hike/walk over 4 hours including lunch break. Perfect end of summery weather; started with rain showers, but quickly developed in to bright sunshine and warm breeze throughout. Definitely needed the SPF!LaurenAyres19/09/2021

2.8 mile out-and-back walk from car park north of Buttermere. Followed easy grassy trails up to and along great summit ridge. 299m ascent. Great views from such a small hill. Sunny with a bit of cloud. A few people about. Later that day drove to and bagged High Rigg and Low Rigg.DanTrig14/06/2021
