From Wether Hill. 5/9 (Bonscale, Arthur's, Loadpot, Wether, High Raise, Kidsty, Rampsgill (2), Knott, Rest Dodd). They were doing some work between the hills and there were multiple paths. Took the wrong one and had to cross country it a bit until I met up with the right path again. For some reason completely confused this hill with Red Crag and it through me off on my map reading until I caught up with another hiker and got put right. Snow and ice. Broke camera mount at shelter. Headed off towards Rampsgill Head which at the time I thought was High Raise.NorthernWayfarer19/01/2020

Rest Dodd, The Knott, Rampsgill Head, High Raise, Wether Hill, Loadpot Hill, Place Fell. Parked the car at Hartsop. Up to Rest Dodd, across to the Knott and then Rampsgill Head. After that it was a long easy walk across grass to High Raise, Wether Hill, Loadpot Hill. After Loadpot, had a chat with another walker who was on his 9th round of Wainwrights. Steep descent down to Martindale. Big ascent (1500 ft) up to Place Fell and the sun came out and the wind finally dropped after 3 days (was cloudy this morning). Nice walk back down to Hartsop.tsharp05/05/2016

Parked up at Mardale Head and set off up Gatescarth Pass. Bit cloudy and gloomy at the start heading up; lot more cloud on the summit of Harter Fell, and a breezed blowing as well. Carried along to Mardale Ill Bell, then stopped for a break on High Street. Cloud had cleared by this point, and it had turned into lovely sunny day; was grateful for the breeze blowing along the tops! Short sandwich and tea break then continued onwards onto The Knott before taking a detour onto High Raise, before coming back and heading east to the summit of Kidsty Pike before taking a stroll down to Haweswater and back to car park. Nice day out and got some nice photos as well.GaryG16/05/2014

August 26th/27th 1983. Expedition members Colin, Bob, Peter aged 8 years, James aged 8 years, Trouble. We had four rucsacs and two tents. We took two cars to Ullswater on a lovely sunny morning then Mummy dropped the expedition party at Troutbeck at 8.45am. We found a trout in a pool in Hagg Gill. Lunch after the steep climb. High Street, High Raise, Red Crag, Wether Hill. We had now finished our drinking water and it became important to clean water to camp by. In the early evening we found a small stream flowing down into Cawdale Beck just a short way down from the path. It was difficult to find a flat area for the tents. It was a beautiful clear evening.PeteF26/08/1983

The Knott 11:11, Rampsgill Head 11:36, High raise 12:00, Kidsty Pike 12:13, Followed Roman Road - just looks like normal fell path. Followed wall up into mist. High Street 12:54. Beacon 14 feet tall, still no view in mist 1;31. Came down out of mist and saw my final destination - Windermere. Frostwick amd Ill Bell look like classic little mountains.
