Solo fr Glenridding, 9.15am to 2:30pm, plenty of running (still thinking the 2020 London Marathon, postponed fr April due to Covid, might happen in October - but it was soon cancelled). Overcast with no sunshine, but pleasant, not too windy, dry & bright.NorfolkPT2103/08/2020
Parked at Legburthwaite. Sticks Pass, Green Side, Hart Side, Stybarrow Dodd, Watson's Dodd, Castle Rock.PGCE08/06/2020
A very wet and very windy fell run in the clouds. Having parked just outside Dockray near Green How, took the path along the Aura Beck Valley to Dowthwaitehead. Then took a long steep climb upto Birkett Fell and Hart Side. properly in the weather now, no time for stopping, continued along the ridge to Green Side, and up onto Stybarrow Dodd, Watson's Dodd and Great Dodd. Although originally planned to continue over to Clough Head, due to the weather, decided to call it a day, and drop down over Randerside and Brute Moss. Under the clouds was a fairly pleasant and still day. Having joined the Old Coach Road I met a mass a sheep being heard into a next field just outside Lucy's Wood. Having skirted round the edge of these sheep. Then a short way down the road back to the car, wet and very muddy, I drove over to Ulswater for a wash. 2hrs: 14.5km; 611mByronHaywood04/09/2019
Did 10 summits (5 Wainwrights) starting from High Row, near Dockray, on Matterdale Common. Went along the Old Coach Road, up Mosedale Beck, over Clough Head, Calfhow Pike, Little Dodd, Great Dodd, Watson's Dodd, Stybarrow Dodd, White Stones - Green Side, Hart Side, Birkett Fell and Brown Hills, descending to Dowthwaitehead and along the Aira Valley. Took 7 hours, all in strong westerly wind - the middle part included some horizontal rain showers bookended by some beautiful sunshine.mavero1017/08/2019
