| A walk with Alma Aurea to try and visit some unfound Wainwrights, a few revisits and a couple of other summits on a warm sunny day. | Circular hike around the head of Mardale. From the car park at the head of Haweswater, up to Gatesgarth Pass, then past Little Harter Fell to Harter Fell, down to Nan Bield Pass, and up to Mardale Ill Bell. Then across to Thornthwaite Crag, and back along the broad track to the trig on High Street, before dropping down to the Straits of Riggindale. From here visiting The Knott, Rampsgill Head, Kidsty Pike, and High Raise in quick succession. Found a new way down via Low Raise, and the SE Ridge to Haweswater, taking in Castle Crag for the first time with its fine view along the way.
