My favourite route up from the bridge at Rowantreethwaite Beck. Feint path up past Hollow Stone to Artlecrag Pike. Hot, sunny day. The sunken trig makes a good water bowl! With Alfie. W 23 Rnd 6.Dangerous Dave24/06/2020
Climbed after Selside, following the fence to Branstree. Summit in the cloud.Joel45112/06/2020
From NE Top. Visited the survey pillar and the two cairns on Artle Crag. Good views down to Haweswater and generally when the sun occasionally broke through. Dinner washed down with a can of Guinness to celebrate my 125th Wainwright while sheltering from the wind behind the wall. Onto Tarn Crag.James McKnight24/05/2020

From Mardale Head, Haweswater: Selside Pike, Branstree, Tarn Crag, Grey Crag, Harrop Pike. Beautiful hot May Bank holiday weekend. Went to the Punch Bowl in Askham village for a meal afterwards.Lazylizzie06/05/2018
Day 2 of the break and set off at 6ish for a favourite of ours Haweswater. After taking pictures of the tower and parking up and getting ready we head up Gatescarth next to the impressive Harter Fell. Tough going after the day before but after a breakfast stop at the top of the path using the jetboil of course and the paracetamol kicking in I felt fine and good to go. Short distance from the breakfast stop we were at the top. Nice summit but didnít stay long before heading to our next fell. Did stop and take pictures of the survey posts which feature on the cover of the far eastern fell book.Scotty 2 Hotty03/05/2018

Bagged as YSM568 Selside Brow. Parked at head of Haweswater and took a killer of a path for 1.2km up to the fence line and then 800m straight up another steep grassy slope to the concrete ring. Tough, very tough, poor Mr U2 had to wait ages for me at the top. Took nearly as long down, Mr U2 ran! Took about 2 hours round trip, never been so happy to reach the car!thejackrustles01/05/2017
