Glenridding Dodd, Heron Pike & Sheffield Pike - up and back from Glenridding car park via The Rake. High temperatures made the steep climb even harder work, although it was still worth it for the stunning views from all three summits. Long break here to try and recover from the brutal heat of the ascent.wheresthepath25/06/2018

Started my solo hike at 11.35 from glenridding headed up to the YHA Helvellyn but took the path to the right at the mines. Followed the ghyll up and crossed over to start the ascend of Sheffield pike. Had lunch looking onto ullswater lake from the top. Easy paths to follow and a clear summit marker. Continued onto glenridding Dodd. 5.67 miles and 3 hours and 9 minutes to complete according to viewranger app.Zoe Little07/05/2018

11.8 mile walk in very hot and sunny weather from Patterdale hotel car park (Cheaper then excessive Glenridding car park), walked along road into Grisedale and took path up hillside to Hole-in-the-wall, out and back to Birkhouse Moor, onto Striding Edge bagging High Spying How (small scramble to summit), down little trail to beautiful Red Tarn, up path to Swirral Edge turning back to Catstye Cam, down terribly lose path east from summit, and onto main path descending to near the Youth Hostel west of Glenridding, slogged in heat up Sticks Pass path then turned back following little trails to Sheffield Pike, then along neat little trail down to col, easily bagged Glenridding Dodd, descended to Glenridding and back along paths by road to Patterdale, great end to lovely 3 days in the Lake District bagging 22 hills and mountains.DanTrig19/06/2017

Parked in Glenridding, Sheffield Pike, Green Side, Hart Side, Stybarrow Dodd, Raise, White Side, Lower Man, Helvellyn, Swiral Edge, Catsye Cam. Original plan was to walk Sheffield Pike to Hart Side, but the weather and going was good, so decided on an impromptu trip to Helvellyn, with good views apart from Catstye Cam.Fell_wanderer19/04/2017
Had the top to ourselves, which was not bad for a fine weather bank holiday Monday. Sadly the cairn depicted by Wainwright has been completely dismantled (it was still standing when we last bagged in 2010) The boundary stone at the summit, which was cracked 2010, has now split in two and no longer standing upright. Up from Glencoyne via Nick Head. After visit to Heron Pike down via Greenside and back along shore path to car. Lots of bog on fell, despite little rain recently.Hillsidenick17/04/2017
Did this on a Monday Morning 2 days before starting my new job. Parked just past Travellers rest pub in Glenridding. Ascent straight from Glenridding Dodd. Quickly stopped on Heron Pike which has stunning views of Ullswater. From heron pike we went to Sheffield Pike on which Bec decided to test how thick the ice was before falling through on the now renamed Becs Tarn decended towards Stybarrow dodd and Raise past the YHA back to the car. finished the day with a pint of Kirkstone Black in Kirkstone pass Inn.
