The Sleddale Fells from Longsleddale. Visited Great Howe, Grey Crag, Harrop Pike, Tarn Crag, High Howes, Selside Pike, and Branstree. returning via Gatescarth Pass, and down the rubble road to Sadgill. Some views from Selside and Harrop, otherwise in cloud with occasional showers. Very wet underfoot. With Gillian and accompanied by Harriet and Mike for the first three.richard6903/01/2024

An afternoon/evening walk based around the Bannisdale Horseshoe with some extras. The 18.5 mile route consisted of - The Forest (528m), White Howe (530m), Long Crag (493m), Robin Hood (492m), High House Fell (524m), Harrop Pike (637m), Grey Crag (638m), Ancrow Brow north (541m), Ancrow Brow (542m), Swinklebank Crag (555m), Capplebarrow (512m), Todd Fell (401m). After Naddle Horseshoe, drove to Mardale Head and did a round of 8 hills Branstree both tops, Nabs Moor, Howes, Tarn Crag, Harrop Pike, Grey Crag. 5hrs. Overcast for first half of walk and then the clouds lifted and the Sun made the last 2hrs hard work. A good day, 20 miles approx in total.Longwojo07/07/2023

Bannisdale Horeshoe+ with GFE - from just off the Shap Road: Whiteside Pike, Todd Fell, Capplebarrow, Swinkleband Crag, Ancrow Brow then on to Grey Crag, Tarn Crag & Harrop Pike before dropping back to the Horseshoe for Bannisdale Fell, White Howe, The Forest & Lamb Pasture. 25km, 1200m elevation gain. 7 hours. From Grey Crag. Easy following the fence to a nice top. A long 2h:10m back to the car at NY 52143 14240 via a visit to Forces Falls but the weather improved dramatically almost as soon as I left the summit giving great views all round. Saw some wild fell ponies near the car.James McKnight24/05/2020

Swindale Foot > Swindale Head > Selside Pike > High Howes > Branstree > Tarn Crag > Gray Crag > Harrop Pike > Little Mosedale Beck > Swindale Head > Swindale Foot. Just me and H. Beautiful morning and walking in sunshine up to Selside Pike. Clag came in after that and remaining tops had at best Hazy very restricted views.
