From Hartsop. 15 km, 900 m asc. Up by the Hayeswater Gill track to cross the gill on the bridleway. N up the path to Rest Dodd and continuing over the bog to The Nab. Return S over the bog and over the E shoulder of Rest Dodd to Satura Crag and Buck Crag and by the main path to the Angletarn Pikes. Climbed up onto Steel Knotts sitting on Pikeawassa, carried on to Brownthwaite Crag, followed little path up to Keasgill Head then along easy ridge to High Raise, across to Kidsty Pike and Rampsgill Head, then down over The Knott, slogged up to Rest Dodd, then along little paths to Brock Crags passing lovely Angle Tarn, climbed straight up onto Angletarn Pikes South Top, then Angletarn Pikes, along little trails on ridge to Beda Fell back down to Martindale, drove around the corner to car park and quick up and down Hallin Fell.DanTrig18/06/2017

I walked from Howtown on my own. The weather was freezing and grey. This is probably one of the eeriest walks I have done. I saw no-one and the frozen summits looked like a moonscape. Angle Tarn was frozen and covered in a layer of snow. I didn't do the whole walk as I decided it was safer to turn back after bagging this peak.
