CP at Church - Hallin Fell - Pikeawassa - Beda Head - back via Martindale. | screeleep | 26/06/2021 |
Started from the church at the foot of Hallin Fell and followed the road for a bit. Started the ascent just after the bridge over Howgrain Beck. This was a pretty pleasant ascent with numerous false summits on the way, the view behind you improving with each summit. Terrain was pretty straightforward, no scrambling involved. Gorgeous views of Ullswater at the summit. You can see the Ullswater jutting out at either side of Hallin Fell, got some beautiful photos, lovely sunny day. | lifeathighaltitude | 17/06/2021 |
Ascent with Jayne from St Peter - Martindale (New Church) to Beda Head up north ridge over Winter Crag. 3.79m with 389m of ascent in 2hrs:48mins with 2hrs:02mins moving time. Overcast but clearing to sunny intervals on descent. Went inside both churches before returning to the car. | pwhitaker_1966 | 11/06/2021 |
