With Jayleigh. 8.20km total this afternoon.Second day of Storm Isha hitting the UK; very windfy throughout, sharp hail once we reached the top and then sporadic rain / hail throughout the descent. Beautiful views of Ullswater, especially from a point just SW of the summit. Started at the High Cascades National Trust Car Park, crossing the river at the High Cascades Bridge, good signage on route. Was difficult to find the SW descent path at the summit as there are multiple descent paths and is not well defined but once you find it, it starts to become more defined as you descend. Did a loop back through Aria Force waterfall, but due to section closures there wasn't much to see there.lifeathighaltitude12/06/2021

Mini-round of the 4 Gowbarrow summits from the main Aira Force car parks. This is a very popular summit - there were quite a few tourists here already despite the relatively early hour. Decent views, although not a patch on the ones from the Green Hill summit at the southern end of the plateau. Returned to Aira Force at a run via the new path heading west-ish from the summit, trying to dodge the exhausted tourists heading upwards. Must be a dull slog climbing this path - we were glad we'd instead come up the stunning Bernard Pike path at the SW corner of the plateau. I slipped and fell bum first in a large muddy puddle at one point, and spent the rest of the day being ridiculed for having dysentery!wheresthepath30/09/2019
