After our regular Wansfell Pike circuit with L from the cottage in Troutbeck - out again after lunch solo for 3 hr 12k afternoon wizz around of 5 new tops (P15s and P20s on harold street) and 2 repeat P30s. Another in a run of glorious icy days of outstanding clarity with blue skies, magnificent low winter sunshine and totally calm. Magical with an hour of orange bands as the sun sank by 4.30pm. Skirted west slope of Brunt Knott on access land to visit the p13 of Stavely Head Fell then back over the summit (3rd visit)- to join the good -Wainwright path' heading to to the oddly named hill -nameless: Potter fell 2. | Chris Pearson | 01/12/2023 |

Made our way down to the wall the steep pull to the top, again in the clag but had lots of sheep for company. Was steep but over soon and the only trig point of the day. Had a gold bracelet on it. Had a chill there and summot to eat. Was very nice in the clouds. | Scotty 2 Hotty | 09/09/2023 |

A beautiful walk on a beautiful sunny spring day on a tops round with L from Garnett Bridge - we were last here together 16 years ago. Finally a wide smooth grassy path coming up from the south after a rough km crossing from Sleddale Forest to the north east which claims the highest point of these fells by 2m (and the Hump crown) but nobody would mind if this finer rise and trig top was it -especially with its enjoyable grass path up it. Even Wainwright ignored Sleddale Forest -neither in his main guides or outlying fells -whereas Brunt Knott forms part of Potter fell circular walk. 2 runners and a dog then 2 walkers and a dog also enjoying the good grassy path up from Stavely. | Chris Pearson | 31/05/2021 |
