Easy walk from Pooley Bridgematty1971b09/03/2024
NYD walk from the holiday accommodation in Pooley Bridge. Arthur's Pike, Loadpot Hill and Heughscar Hill. Cold wind but some views across to a snow clad Helvellyn skyline and Skiddaw. With Gillian and accompanied by Harriet and Mike up Arthur's Pike.richard6901/01/2024
Set off around 8ish, listened to more Mystery hours before parking up just outside Pooley Bridge at the start of the walk. This was a nice simple walk with fantastic views of the roman road and Ullswater. We soon made it to the top and to the boundary stone cairn, before getting to the track and back to the car ready for walk 2. On the way to Pooley Bridge we spotted a red squirrel and stopped to takes pictures.Scotty 2 Hotty04/11/2023

9.8 mile circular from the minor road out of Helton. We followed lanes and easy trails onto Heughscar Hill. Then we ascended Loadpot Hill via the prominence-less Wainwrights of Arthur's Pike & Bonscale Pike. Probably the best way up to Loadpot summit. We descended via ATV tracks to Knotts back to road. 526m ascent all before lunchtime. Nice views of the bigger mountains clearing of cloud. A few dog walkers about. That afternoon we drove around to and bagged Moss Castle.DanTrig03/03/2023
Revisit for trig block (not found), from roadhead to NWRHW12/02/2023
Parked up in Pooley Bridge and walked up the road to the fell gate then on various paths and open fell to the summit plateau. Three cairns to choose from the biggest of which is nowhere near the summit. Turns out (according to my gps anyway) that none of the cairns is the HP which is actually a random patch of grass about 30 metres away. A pleasant amble across Askham Fell before heading down all in all a nice little walk. With Boris.ytfckent11/02/2023

South to North traverse of the High Street tops. Final hill before tomorrow's descent to Askham and Penrith. I camped below the summit, a fine setting to escape the pomp and ceremony overwhelming the country. And I was far from the only non-monarchist in evidenceColin Crawford19/09/2022
