From the summit of Dow crag across Buck Pike and Brown pike we reached the cross roads of Walna scar road. We couldn’t miss our chance to bag the highest outlying as it was about 4 mins to get to the top. so windy couldn’t stay for long plus after the amazing summits of the day this wasn’t worth staying on. Back to the van via the walna scar rd/path. Half way down seeing a mirage which turned out to be real life Barbie girl. Hotpants fake boobs the lot. Not that I was looking. When we got back to the van we couldn’t believe how busy it was. Packed people park up the path on the grass. Glad we started early. On the way home near Skelwith I got savaged by a diseased angry ferderlance mutant killer Bee. I’m tough and didn’t even mention the gaping wound. Got back home to an evening of drink and naked attraction. Not just the program cough coughScotty 2 Hotty21/09/2019
With Jonny, Nathan and Chris. Dropping a car in Tiberthwaite, we walked up Yewdale Beck and into Dry Cove Bottom. Up onto Weathelam Edge, the veiws kicked in, and the wind picked up. Nice almost scramble upto Weatherlam. Then along the Black Sails, and another fun step up to Swirl How. We then walked along the ridge to Brim Fell and the Old Man. Turning back on ourselves, we went along the Dow Crag ridge (new fav) along Buck, Brown Pike, then down and along to Walna scar and White Maiden, before dropping back into Torver for food and well needed sleep. 8hr20mins (5hr19min): 20.3km; 1437mByronHaywood14/09/2019
