After getting to the Car from the Knott we put our big camping bags on and headed up to the summit. after a hard push we reached the summit. we set up the tent and made some tea and had a beer. watched a lovely sunset before going to bed. In the morning i made Bec a brew at the summit and we just watched the world wake up. one of my favourite moments on the any fellScotty 2 Hotty27/05/2023
woke up late and went on my own. This is about a week or so after the wedding got cancelled. Anyway Bec went with James to see her nan for her birthday and i needed the lakes. parked up and headed straight up. only about 15 mins or so then spent a good amount of time at the top chilling and thinking . Was just what i needed after a stressful few weeksScotty 2 Hotty14/05/2023

With Sue from the top of the pass at Kiln Bank Cross, Park Head Road Top, Brock Barrow, Fox Haw, Raven Crag and back to road to climb Stickle Pike, following faint paths and Tracks. Wet and cloudy and very humid.Frank22/07/2022
With Carol. Park at Stainton Ground Quarries. Ascend Stickle Pike (1231’). Head south to trig point at Great Stickle (1001’); then meander northwest around the ponds and marshes to Tarn Hill (1020’); before heading south to Dunnerdale Fells (920’). Return by picking up the track to the west of Great Stickle, heading north and passing to the east of Stickle Tarn. Drop back down to the road. (Sunny but breezy.) 3.71 miles, 2.75 hours and 545’ of ascent.DABT09/07/2022
Dropping down steeply and making our way to the foot of Stickle Pike. The closer we got the less intimidating it looked. I took a shortcut across the side but Bec didn’t and later regretted it as I came out half way up. After a short but very steep climb we were at the top. Absolutely fantastic views and would say this and Great Stickle are my favourite 2 so far. We had a chill on the summit the went to the south summit for a view over todays walk. From the top it was a short walk back to the car for a beer and pot noodle. After driving back down some very tight roads and stopping to see highland cows we got back to Hawkshead for a few beers in Hawkshead, had Sausage and mash and went to the Coop for supplies to take back to the camping pod to play more cards and chill on the decking. Brilliant 2 days loved every minute.Scotty 2 Hotty21/06/2022

Then back across pass onto the miniature mountain of Stickle Pike and onwards to Tarn Hill and Great Stickle. Saw only a few people about on a Sunday in the Lakes. Clear and sunny. 714m ascent.
