With Jim & Cat. Unfortunately Jus had got ill overnight, and we didn't want him to miss any Wainwrights, so spent our last morning in the Lakes doing an easy yet very pleasant loop out from Kendal to Kendal Fell, Cunswick Scar and both the Scout Scar summits. Wainwright picked a good'un here - sea views (assuming Morecambe Bay counts as the sea) and a superb great shelter with a topograph inside. A lovely one to end the trip on, and a real shame Jus missed it.wheresthepath02/10/2023
Deluge. Finally hit by a prolonged driving downpour as my luck with slanting sunshine ran out. On a 5 mile run from Kendal 'between the showers'. Hid in the summit mushroom with two marooned dog walkers before plunging on. My flimsy windproof being utterly un- waterproof. Soon soaked through - but fun in a strange way as it was all a careful jog downhill now and at least my hat kept my head warm in the cold piercing rain.Chris Pearson18/09/2023

Sunday morning walk from home in Kendal with L. Sunny nice morning but with 1pm rain forecast-which once back arrived on time!). Called in to the Basecamp marquee of the Kendal Mountain festival - talks and gear - bumped into John Bagge- great to reunite. Our upward route would have been busy yesterday as the 10km festival trial run comes this way then along to Cunswick Scar. Today dog walkers and families out in force.Chris Pearson20/11/2022

from Cunswick we followed the easy to follow path. through some more small woods and across another road. from the road its a short incline to the amazing limestone cliffs over Barrowfield woods. from there its a flat walk to the mushroom Shelter. there are great views from here and could of stayed there all day. after a short break we went to the trig of Bradleyfield summit before heading down through the Black highland cows with some road walking back to the car. fantastic walk loved this. topped off by an amazing Sunday Roast at The Moon in Kendal and popped in to see my mums new static on the way home in Scorton.. Perfect Sunday.Scotty 2 Hotty10/10/2021
