At the OMC Cottage in Crianlarich, for the Christmas Meet, parked on the A85 east of the Glen Lochy car park (for Ben Lui). Found the faint path up the through the long grass west for the plantation. Path disappeared just before the slope eases. No difficulty to reach the summit, just over 1:20hr to the summit. The transmitter has been dismantled / removed. Returned the same way in less than an 1hr. No views .chillyman809/12/2023

Straight up and down from the pull in ESE of the summit at the edge of the forestry on the A85. Light rain.Owen B27/04/2023
Parked in large cut NN24577 28713. Weather forecast a miserable day, but wasn't too bad, just drizzle. This was my bad weather spare mountain. Top's easy to find even in cloud after a slog up pathless slopes.Jhimmy20/03/2023
Solo from south. Another superb day.Nick Canute27/02/2023
Straight up and down from the ESE.summitter16/11/2022
Parked NN2461828746. A path up the hill is found a short way SW down the road. This goes as far as the steepest part of the climb but then becomes unclear. Aimed North avoiding the worst of the steep ground and picked up a grassy strip which leads West. The path re-emerges and is followed to the summit.PeteF24/10/2022
From standing by A85 at NN 246287 steeply up to summit. 2nd of day after Beinn Bhoidheach.MichaelF23/10/2022
As per SMC Guide. Lower slopes very brackeny. great views from top.IanHHill16/08/2022
Time excludes 40min cycle from top of Glen Orchy to bottom. Cycled down, walked back up over the Graham and two Corbetts. Very hot, sunny day – had to detour a bit for water. Way through trees easy S to N, probably harder N to S. New deer fence had been vandalised, which was helpful. Rounsfell04/06/2022
From the pull-off on the A85 to the east of the Glen Lochy forestry parking area. Straight up the steep slopes, which were very wet, but we were rewarded with good views after waiting for the rain to stop. Just over 3km and 1h 20 there and backRockdoctor11/05/2022
Up and down from A85 parking.rhalstead23/10/2021
A straightforward walk from the A85 CP on the edge of the forestry, made enjoyable by the views: best of all, Ben Cruachan and Loch Awe from just beyond the summit, although the view of Ben Lui on descent is pretty impressive too.Nick Down111/04/2021
Solo from Glen Lochay CP straight up via a thin break. Overcast with low cloud and soaking long grass. Steep and slippery ascent to trig and ruins of old radio tower. Back via the gentler east slope.alexmaclennan14/07/2020
Parked in Glen Orchy just before Achnafainich and followed a good track then path to the top.Fellhugger20/11/2019
Up in around an hour from A85 parking space. Some views but higher tops cloudy.willyross28/03/2019
With big gang from KMRT & associated hangers on. Rubbish weather.ngthack08/03/2019
Quick run up from the road on a dreich day.Grinner17/02/2019
A nice walk via the usual route from the parking space on the A85. Nice and steep, so very dry and easy going. Unbelievably good views of snowy Munros from the top; Ben Lui and Ben Cruachan looking especially fine.Gill29/03/2018
With ketzster. Very steep climb straight up from the road. Lost ketzsters new walking poles in the lay by. I think I left them on the roof of the car before we drove off...Yeltzbagger17/11/2017
Steamy day, bagged while heading west. Nice summit views.oatcake03/07/2017
From forestry car park on A85 to SSE of the hill. NE along verge A85 for just over 1km, then relatively easily straight up towards summit, following a trodden line for the first part of the way. Down via a direct line back to the car park, encountering monster tussocks & holes for last 100m before road. Recorded route and write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.com/2017/05/beinn-na-sroine-nn234289-636m.htmlGayle12/05/2017

Alone. Couldn't resist grabbing this late in afternoon, after superb walk around Meall Odhar across Glen Lochy. Up and down from parking by forest. Great views all round esp. to Cruachan, Lui and Glen OrchySpudGunn10/03/2016

Straight up from parking space at 246287, seems to be a path developing, quickly lost in the snow. fabulous views. great winter hill this as lower slopes are tussocks and bracken.hils12/02/2016
Up a good forest track from Glen Orchy beginning roughly at NN204286 which goes all the way up through the trees. From there up the south west ridge with good views down Loch Awe.ARM03/12/2015
Climbed from the rough parking area on the north side of the A85, as described by others. Be careful when leaving parking area, visibility to traffic from the west is limited. Climbed with MT.Sprog03/06/2015
Parked in lay-by at forest edge on A85 at NN 24619 28746. Followed burn a short way, then steeply up south-east flank of the hill to small cairn on NE top, then easily west to trig point. Most of the paraphernalia on the summit has been removed. Good views. Returned by outward route. With AT.Man of Kernow103/06/2015
Parked in rough parking area at edge of forestry on North side of A85. Steep grassy pull NW to summit & trig. Return as outward. On own.MorecambeMonkey24/03/2015

Afternoon walk after Bheinn Bhalgairen from car park, there is a faint path about 100metres west but basically pick your own route. Little left of the mast on summit.dickscroop26/03/2014

From A85, parking at forest edge GR246286. Faint path to left of burn to 350m. Then steep but easy grass slopes to summit. Good views all round. Up in 40 mins, down in 20 so easy morning bag.nordicstar04/01/2014

Beinn na Sroine (NN 233 289) S/F NN 245 286 Short, steep climb to summit, just over 3.5 km round trip. Good winter day, very cold with chilling wind but sunny and dry. Mostly clear sky but broken cloud on higher summits e.g. Ben Lui.John Young01/02/2013

After Beinn Bhreac-liath and Beinn Udlaidh. Unmapped break beginning at NN261311 offers easy passage through forestry between Beinn Udlaidh and Beinn na Sroine (all deer not boot prints). Steep descent to A85 for long road return to Tyndrum.campagvelocet13/07/2011
The summit is close to an A85 car park. The walk is steep, but there are plenty of breaks in the local forestry. A course slightly west of the direct line is slightly less steep and is mainly on short grass. A fit climber could be back in 2 hours.Topographer5701/05/2011

May have crossed this summit in August 1976 in pre forestry days after descending from Ben Lui, crossing the ridge, which was then not forested and then heading down Glen Orchy. This, however, was an ascent from Glen Orchy after the closure of the A82 due to an accident led to a change of plan.JohnW16/06/2010
Parked at edge of forest. Intermittent rain, mild, some wind, patchy views. 2014 repeat - high cloud, part sun, cold wind, good views this time.iangalbraith28/03/2010
Parked by suspension bridge, straight up on to ridgeGallovidian18/02/2009
Trig revisit. Steep grass & heather ascent, dullish summit, mapped mast gone, leaving only concrete base and a few metal bars. Lui clear but other peaks generally in cloud. Quick single at first light, before Mull ferry.RHW21/03/2008

Unremitting slog steeply up for 1000' into mist. Broad flat area and reached small cairn on knob. As I was expecting a mast and trig column, thought at first that I was on the wrong hill! Over flattish section to see something looming to my left. This was where the mast was now dismantled in 3 sections and Vanessa 9908. 10.45.arranc28/07/2001

With a friend. From the Tyndrum to Oban road. Ascended to the summit of Beinn na Sròine. We went from the nearest point on the road in a gap between forests. The ascent and descent were slightly different.pwbellarby26/11/2000
