Nuttall walk 11.2: Wild Boar Fell, Wild Boar Fell East Top, Swarth Fell, Swarth Fell Pike, Baugh Fell (Tarn Rigg Hill) , Knoutberry Haw. Very hard, often pathless walk on a beautiful March day. Parked on the raod, car surrounded by fell ponies.Lazylizzie26/03/2022
Parking at barn at SD776965. N along B6259 and up farm track to Hazelgill. Then bridleway to High Dolphinsty. Good ATV track out to Little Fell and back. Good path up to Wild Boar Fell summit with good linking path to E top. Poorer path down to col and along to Swarth Fell. At Swarth Fell Pike took small path at Rt angles L (NE) down through Stubbing Rigg to Aisgill Moor Cottages.Isbjorn24/08/2021
With Sue from side of road nr Shaw Paddock, follow path to barn and boggy walk up hill White Birks Common to Swarth Fell Pike and Swarth Fell. Return along tops following boundary to Turner Hill and decent.Frank22/11/2020
Parked at barn at 364 spot height. Used quad track through new plantation until I came to big mud slide area. Ground totally saturated. Easy fence to cross at top of plantation the easy up steeper ground where there is a path. With Bryherjenx19/11/2020

19.3 miles 2889ft walk, start at Cross Hall Farm Caravan Park Cautley, walk along A638 to Beck Side, take right Lane to Bluecaster Side, follow briddleway across moor to Uldale then Nutall route to Flint Howe and Sand Tarn then summit of Wild Boar Fell, cross plateau to view point then follow fence line to Swarth Fell and Swarth Fell Pike, back track and take fence line down across Holmes Moss Hill to A Pennine Journey path and follow west to Foggy Hiil and back to Cautley.stephenbuda10/09/2020

Having hit the road off Little Fell at Shaw Paddock I climbed the pike via Pasture Rigg. Lower down quite reedy but just rough grass higher up. Good though soggy path up towards top. Decent sized cairn atop. Baugh fell looks massive from here.stig_nest08/10/2016
