Lovely views when you reach the top, but there was a bit of a tricky path to get there. Lots of wet feet afterwards! | Spooderman | 24/10/2023 |

From CP in Keld village (honesty box). Walked out of village, then L on PF. After steep hill, path goes through gate. Turn L and walk to R of wall as it climbs and turns R until you reach a wooden gate in the wall. Then walk on other side of wall until you see a currick ahead. This route has no walls to climb. I think the gate is the one mentioned by NormanW although not the same grid ref (I didn't note the correct reference). | peter4lc | 11/08/2023 |
LANGDALE | 26/07/2023 | |
7.1 mile circular from Keld. Along the Pennine Way then we left this to follow the footpaths north, west, then south of the hill. We left the path near the tips (dis) marked on the OS map and followed the wall on the left side over another easy-to-climb wall up to the summit. A little bit of heather bashing from this direction but not too bad. We returned to the path south sheltering behind a wall for 10 mins due to storm. We then followed the path to just outside Muker before taking the pretty path through Swaledale back towards Keld. The waterfall south of East Stonesdale farm is a worthy detour too. 427m ascent. A few people about despite the stormy weather forecast. Lovely views throughout. First hill of the day. Afterwards we drove to and bagged Tailbridge Hill, Mount Ida and Barnarm Scar. | DanTrig | 08/07/2023 |

evening visit from keld, lovely heather | richardrosser | 12/08/2021 |
Up from Keld having pitched the tend at the riverside campsite and found the hotel closed for food - noodle it is then for supper. Followed the advice of previous baggers and NowmanW to go to 89385 00256 before cutting up the hill - that way there is one gate to open before you get to the summit. A Yorkshire version of jenga awaits visitors at the top with the summit just a bit further away. | Father Ted | 12/08/2021 |
From Muker on good track that ascended steeply until crossed PW. Then easier going before following track by wall to gap and across to HP and stones before going on to large cairn. | PeterD | 27/06/2021 |

Short circular from Keld | rhalstead | 16/09/2020 |
From Keld climbing south over open moor direct to the top upon leaving the Pennine Way. No crossing point at the corner in the wall near the summit. Found a crossing place just north east of the corner but requires climbing and the stones are loose. Great care taken as I hate climbing dry stone walls on principle. Spent a minute trying to adjust a few stones to make them more stable, so the wall was in better condition after my visit than it was before. | ijpowell | 31/08/2020 |

From Muker on bridleway, over shoulder and down into a dip to a gate from where I followed a wall over rough ground to the top. No need to climb walls. Lovely little hill and good viewpoint. | trimarc2 | 21/03/2018 |
Lots of heather bashing and a couple of walls to climb. | Ianto&Sue | 01/01/2018 |
I went up from the bridleway to the south and down to the RoW to the NNW. There was a substantial wall on each way. I was very careful climbing them, as one wall, at least, looked on the point of collapse. | Alan Moore | 26/10/2017 |
5/5 M From track NW up to 2nd ruin then up the side of the wall 1 gate and 1 wall to cross. | robertphillips | 22/10/2017 |
From Thwaite via Pennine Way, Bridle Track and along ridge from S. | IanHHill | 16/10/2017 |
From Keld campsite. Marvelous waterfalls..
Took the old bridleway to house which looks lived in before crossing heathery ground to top. Cairn is not at highest point. Descent in a fairly direct back to Keld direction means numerous walls to be acaled | stig_nest | 15/09/2017 |
With K and RM. Following bridleway from NW and then E side of wall. Layby to park 2/3 cars at start of bridleway. Very pleasant. | Ashley | 13/08/2017 |

Drove to Keld after going up Hoove, stopping for coffee and enormous portion of Victoria Sponge cake in Gunnerside. A familiar area, having walked on all the paths between Keld and Muker. Open access and RHB made this my first visit to Kisdon summit though- I traversed from N to S climbing one awkward wall (on N side) by its V-turn. The wall to the S side had a break where it was only half height. An impressive cairn very near by gives a good foreground for photos. Satisfying, though I think a walk along the bw on the W side and ascent and descent on the S side would be nicer. Some thick heather and tussocks, though little tracks and trods could be found much of the way on the hill. Used the glorious path high on the E side to return the Keld- for this hill, it's the paths round it that give the best walking. Sunny, cold in shade. | pwheeler | 09/05/2017 |

With Jenx up from road side parking before the lane to NW. Steady pull up into a stiff headwind, with wall shelters from passing showers. After the final gate at col turned to follow the wall North to near high point. One easy climb to top, cairn visit and take in the views, then pretty much straight down the hill towards two small aerials on a building and gate to outward track. | nordicstar | 29/09/2016 |

Thereafter tried to gain height through fields but was stopped by high stone walls with no sign of any gates!
