Day trip on the train from Leeds to Horton, then along the Pennine Journey/Way onto the PYG/Plover ridge. Handrailed the wall in the cloud to Plover Hill. This took us to the north side of the 5' wall on the summit. As the wall was clearly being properly maintained, didn't try to climb over it but close enough to claim the top. Clockwise from Horton to Foxup Moor path, then on to Pen-y-ghent. Cairn is gone again, and the top could be anywhere for some distance to the WSW. | agentmancuso | 16/10/2022 |

Nuttall walk 12.4 from the parking area at Halton Gill: Darnbrook Fell, Fountains Fell South Top, Fountains Fell, Pen-y-ghent and Plover Hill. Day started bright and warm but rain closed in and it was a typical, cold, miserable bank holiday by the end of the day. 15 miles of hard walking, but didn't see a soul except at Pen-y Ghent. | Lazylizzie | 30/04/2022 |

Not a bad day for weather though increasing wind a factor to2ar5ds end. From Foxup initially up track then ridge an walls to Plover Hill summit. Rather missed best line in the cloud crossing over the to Greenfield Knott but easy to sort out when I could see the wo plantations. Direct line back down to track at Cosh and back. | dickscroop | 26/01/2022 |

Halton Gill -> Plover Hill -> Pen-y-ghent -> Halton Gill | briandiggle | 22/12/2020 |
A circular walk from Horton-in-Ribblesdale station on a windy and intermittently wet Friday. Up Plover Hill on the minor path to the north which was a tad more vertical than expected! One unexpected dip in a bog later and the summit was reached with no view due to cloud - down the public footptah on north side - very slippery stones so do beware - then Foxup, Halton Gill, Churn Milk Hole and back just in time for the 1620 train back. | JOHNS | 18/12/2020 |

Followed ridge from Pen-y-Ghent when completing Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Good to get away from crowds and enjoyed the assent down to rejoin the main route via the Pennines Way. Path from Pen-y-Ghent was boggy in places and summit only marked by a few stones. | John92 | 19/09/2020 |
