Tor Mere Top, Great Whernsidekeithouk14/05/2023
Great Whernside and Buckden Pike from Kettlewell. Up by Hag Dyke to the trig at the top of Great Whernside, then north along the ridge, turning left along the Bridleway from Scar House and following it to the Coverdale / Kettlewell road at the top of the pass. Straight across and up the track by the fence to the ridge wall and then in a short distance to Tor Mere Top. Turned NW and followed the often boggy track by the wall to the Polish War Memorial and along the flagstones to Buckden Pike's trig and summit cairn. Down the track to Buckden and back along the Dales Way to Kettlewell. 27km with 800m ascent, taking me 7 hours.silverwolf_alan07/05/2023

From Kettlewell: Buckden Pike, Tor Mere Top and Great Whernside. Blustery cool June day, but the thunderstorms that were forecast didn't materialise.Lazylizzie25/06/2022

With Chris. Up Great Whernside from Kettlewell via Hagg Dyke, north along the ridge, descending to the top of Park Rash, then directly up to Tor Mere Top and along the ridge to the summit of Buckden Pike, then descent above Cray to Buckden. Back along the Dales Way to Kettlewell. A very snowy walk with deep drifts and a heavy snowstorm en route. 22.9km with 820m ascent in 7h50m.silveracorn_alan02/01/2021
Waist deep in snow in some parts. Real struggle had to abandon buckden and make way down. Lost phone on the wayThe-Z-Man05/12/2020

A bit of an out-and-back from Buckden Pike. Very hard going - lots of bogs to negotiate.Wheelsy31/07/2020
From the car park in Kettlewell up the Tor Mere Top Road to that summit. Then alongside the wall all the quite wet way to Buckden Pike. Splendid view from the trig. Descended NW then SW to Buckden and back along the Dales Way to Kettlewell. With Annette, Christine, Eric, Geoff and Steve. 20km with 530m ascent in 6h40m.silveracorn_alan19/03/2020
With Shaky & Smithy from the cattle grid at 503m on a misty, murky New Year's Day afternoon walk. Did anyone mention that this route is a bog fest?! Followed the path leading over the stile & then to a gate & then handrailed the wall/fence over Tor Mere Top to the memorial. Crossed over the wall to use the flagstoned path to the summit. Returned the same way but this time found occasional vehicle tracks anywhere between 10 & 30m from the wall which made for still soggy but much easier going.NotReallyABagger01/01/2020
En-route to Buckden Pike.jonglew22/11/2019
From Brown Haw. Not as bad underfoot as I initially feared, thanks to faint ATV track, but rain coming almost head on so a bit miserable. On to Naughtberry Hill.Wycombe Wanderer31/08/2019
From Gt Whernside following paths on quite steep section. Easy navigation onto this unremarkable top.JOHNS27/07/2018

Came down here from Buckden Pike on our way back to the van at the cattle grid, Little Hunters Sleet. Not impressed by the electric fence! With Alfie. No dogs permitted on the Access Land to the east of the electric fence. I get the impression that walkers are tolerated rather than encouraged around here!Dangerous Dave06/07/2017

From parking area near cattle grid. Gt Whernside, slog out to Lt Whernside, Buckden Pike (used suggested path from war memorial which is partly paved) Tor Mere Top. All very wet underfoot. Lots of peat hags up to Lt Whernside.mart079705/07/2016
Start at very end of road in Walden Dale. Mowed grass doesn't look like parking area but resident of house says he maintains it for walkers to park. Naughtberry Hill, Buckden Pike, Tor Mere Top(be advised electric fence on top of wall so if you want to visit top keep to west of wall by going through gate at public right of way) Brown Haw (a dilemma - electric fence all along the ridge - summit is south of fence while return route is to north so go prepared unless you're parked in valley to SE).ijpowell17/06/2016

Top appears to be to the west of the wall/fence. This is covered in signs saying that it is an electric fence so you need to plan your ascent accordingly. There is a small pile of stones there with one set vertically.clivevilla01/08/2015
