Hike with Caitlyn and Alex. Started from Derbyshire bridge car park followed road byside River Goyt then followed path to Shining Tor. Headed back to the carpak via Cat and Fiddle. 2.5 hrs walking time, weather was wet but not enough to be off putting.Pholmes08/08/2017

Errwood Hall car park was closed so we parked higher up at Goytsclough Quarry and followed the public footpath, crossing Deep Clough and Stake Clough before following the dry stone wall to the first ridge. Descending into a shallow saddle we climbed up to Shining Tor and enjoyed great views, despite the low clouds and hazy conditions, before returning the same way.Paul Eaton19/06/2016
