Found whilst cache setting for PIRATEMANIA 2008 - and was entranced by this spot, with awesome views all around. Windy as hell, hard to find a sheltered spot to brew up from! Quite a tough steep owd walk up, not a long walk, but direct and fun :)PopUpPirate19/07/2008

My favourite hill of all. First climbed via Parkin Clough on 30th Dec 2002 and many many times since. I can never tire of this heavenly hill.Jake99430/12/2002
With Shaky & Smithy from Hope. Straight up path to Win Hill, then along to Hope Cross. Headed NW up to Crookstone Knoll & followed the edge by Ringing Roger as far as the Woolpacks. Ground solid enough, so across to Kinder Scout summit. Turned back down Grindsbrook Clough to Edale & then across the valley & up to Mam Tor. Along past Hollins Cross up to Lose Hill for the last of the daylight. Headtorches on for the descent back to Hope. Not the full round of Edale that we had planned but a great day out.NotReallyABagger19/10/2002

An exciting day on ice covered hills and moors, very icy and needing care on Win Hill; exasperating in a few places where the ice was a crust that I kept breaking through. Elsewhere, where there was good snow and colder, the walking was grand, and a descent from Grindsbrook Clough later in the day was on powder, terrific drifts of snow, and a vibrant sunset. Win Hill is a very fine peak any time of year- my first visit was a big highlight on a walking tour in Aug 1982.pwheeler08/02/1986
