Took path by the fence, then crossed stile, up to trig. Less boggy than most of BowlandPhilipChaston23/12/2023
Surprisingly not very boggy underfoot on the ascent from the road.KevPalmer16/11/2023
3 of 4 starting at the car park on main road. Back to the camper from marl moor to get changed then straight up the path from the car park. Marilyn no. 79The-Z-Man30/09/2023
From car park in glorious sunshine but ground still sodden underfoot. Great views of the Forest of Bowland and Three Peaks. Followed up by a visit to the cafe in Washington. With Suzie and Lucky.John Eley15/04/2023

From car park by cattle grid. Followed this with a visit to Waddington Fell ... just in case.vuirich28/04/2022
From the cattle grid car park, following the marshy path by the wall, which improves as it climbs towards the summit cairn and meets a track. Returned along this track to Walloper Well and along the road verge to the car park. Curlews calling as the afternoon grew late.Nick Down125/04/2022
After Beacon Hill and through forest to the west side where a good track leads to the top. A wild day with strong winds, rain, poor visibility making this feel a real challenge which would not be the case on a warm clear sunny day in summer.trimarc205/04/2022
1/4 Easington Fell, then along North behind the woodland to Beacon Hill (walks nicely along there) then back through woodland to car park area over the road to Waddington Fell then down off piste, to the track to climb via Stone Fold and Quad Bike Tracks to Crag Stones and eventually hill number 4 Marl Hill Moor. Then yomped a direct line home over Waddington Fell again - which was tough terrain but better than predicted 5 hours.nickywood115/01/2022

Would you believe that by the time we got here the snack van had gone - and I was just looking forward to a mug of tea and a cake. Not the most interesting hill in the world I must admit. Straight out there and back before tackling the trig point near the quarry.Father Ted11/08/2021

From the carpark by the cattle grid. Followed a path that skirted around the dry stone walls. Doesn't align with public right of ways. Great snack van in the carpark!Danmawr07/08/2021

Easy and gentle path from the passconanharrod04/06/2021
From the carpark WSW of the summit as others describe. While the jaunt is unexciting, you get surprisingly good views opening to the north and east when you arrive at the cairn. Shows the vast emptiness of the forest. The moor is definitely too dry, too drained for the wretched grouse shooting. There’s a carbon sink restoration challenge to be had here.Pete West02/06/2021

Lovely summit seat for one in the cairn. The view towards Ingleborough is splendid. Shame about the trees blocking off the Pendle direction.stig_nest25/10/2015
