From SSW, parking for a few cars at 358 spot height. Ground 5m S of trig point possibly higher.CJM07/01/2020
Walked up the road from pub in Meerbrook, then along very wet track to Trig point. Although it wasn't intended, it seemed [afterwards] appropriate to climb GUN on Remembrance Day!!IanHHill11/11/2019

As for others just a short walk from the parking to the south. Torrential rain turned the path into a stream but couldn't wash away all the dog mess. Without any trees to hang them from it probably wasn't worth the dog walkers using their little black bags.Newton Maximus07/03/2019
Up and down in10 minutes from the road. 2nd attempt! Clearing.Play2End20/02/2019

Excellent circular walk from Merebrook with TW, taking in the Roaches. Superb views for a relatively unassuming hill. Sombering to see the huge extent of damage caused by the recent moorland fire on E side of Roaches ridge, hope it recovers soon.steve_a15/09/2018
Detour on way back from Shining Tor.Longwojo27/08/2018

Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: From parking at N53° 08.731' W2° 02.939' along ROW to the trig, very easy walk and surprised to get to the trigpoint so quickly from the parking, excellent route choice from Gill who had visited before! Also spotted a benchmark on a 'boundary stone' on the way.thejackrustles08/07/2018

wet muddy path, no views fog.cjo07/01/2017
A walk up from the South as the gloaming turned to night. The path was very boggy but in the dark it was hard to find a dry line. The sumo was marked by a trig point. At the summit met a chap walking his 2 rather unruly dogs. They put up a few Snipe possibly as I followed him back to the car. Weather was cloudy and mild with a few spots of rain in the air. Time 25 minutes for just under a mile.isabelle13/11/2016
