Cool with grey high cloud. A 9.7 km route today with 161 metres of ascent. I parked on Old Clitheroe Road near the double footpath finger posts well to the west of the forest track entrance above Intack. Up forest track to turning circle, then directly through forest to trig point. Then onto High Beacon before taking a mountain bike track back down to the forestry logging route en route to Kemple End to inspect the surface block location. To break tradition and actually give alternative access hints... For my evening walk from overnight parking to SSE at SD 664 396, unmapped FP oppposite seemed to lead to forest road but very muddy, so took road to access gate. Followed forest road to end (2 left turns) then muddy track (on 1:25k map) to ROW junction at forest edge. Then ENE through quagmire to TP (This October has been very wet!).
