Took in Longridge Fell on Day 4 of our C2C walk. Sunny skies with extensive views of the hills of Bowland and the southern Dales. Cool with grey high cloud. A 9.7 km route today with 161 metres of ascent. I parked on Old Clitheroe Road near the double footpath finger posts well to the west of the forest track entrance above Intack. Up forest track to turning circle, then directly through forest to trig point. Then onto High Beacon before taking a mountain bike track back down to the forestry logging route en route to Kemple End to inspect the surface block location. Then back onto the end on Old Clitheroe Road which was followed back to the Carin just over 2 hours.Dugswell207/03/2021

To break tradition and actually give alternative access hints... For my evening walk from overnight parking to SSE at SD 664 396, unmapped FP oppposite seemed to lead to forest road but very muddy, so took road to access gate. Followed forest road to end (2 left turns) then muddy track (on 1:25k map) to ROW junction at forest edge. Then ENE through quagmire to TP (This October has been very wet!). Crossed stile picking (dry) line through forest to E-W route, going W to pop out on forest road - avoiding slop and half the distance!henryfm22/10/2020

21st ascent in April 2020 since Good Friday. April showers have not arrived. Parlick was clear of cloud on arrival at trig however it was soon enveloped in dark shower clouds on the route back to the car. Rain also arrived on the short drive back to Grimsargh.Dugswell230/04/2020

Day Seven walk from SD 6442 4007, parking for 3 cars then down road to footpath beside wall. Boring route with limited views for first 1/3rd of walk. 40 minute walk of 3.66 km instead of nearer 5 km walk in 60 minutes from Jeffrey Hill. Then drove to Jeffrey Hill car park to turn round.Signs here now preventing parking. So no more walks for the moment. Parked outside Weedacre Barn SD65722 41778. Muddy, boggy, brambly fp opposite, following in places course of stream. Brambles could be real problem in summer with no guarantee other 3 will be OK.
