From Clay Bank via lower path and up Ingleby Incline.paulcook280904/01/2024
Fancied a walk during half term week so I asked my grandad if he would take me for one. He drove from Hull to pick me up in Wakefield then we drove to Clay Bank car park. Easy direct walk along the Cleveland Way to the summit then back along the moorland tracks running south west them north along the ridge. Kept up with Moorsman my grandad (who is 76 and shot up the hills). A 260 mile round trip for him.Mollyb05/11/2023

Via Cleveland Way from Clay Bank car park. Returned to road via bridleway running roughly west and one running round the edge of the escarpment to join our route up. Some moorland tops are dull, but not this one. It's close to the N scarp of the N Yorks Moors, and we accessed it by walking from Bloworth Crossing (near the top of the incline on the old rly to Farndale) to Chop Gate. We did this as the last leg of a long-planned and awated 18 mile epic taking in Tripsdale, Bransdale, Farndale (the Feversham Arms!)and up onto the old rly trackbed- a deservedly popular walk in itself.
