From Garway Hill Car Park (road a bit rough in places but no issues). Grateful for the shelter at the top from the wind, Visited the summit and trig. | Jephcote83 | 31/03/2024 |

Parked on side of road, just before telephone box at SO 44717 25014. Followed track up to the car park and then very easy up to the trig. Did a circular walk from the top following the Herefordshire trail for a bit, through Kentchurch and back across to the lane. Very small lambs in the fields, and a farmer helping a Ewe in labour. | Droplet7494 | 18/03/2024 |
Verge parking just after bridge and road bend to WSW. Followed well signed Herefordshire Trail to the top. Welcome bench seat facing west on the top for views towards the Black Mountains. Sunny but cold wind. Solo. | richard69 | 05/11/2023 |
5 Marilyns from base in Ludlow. Aconbury Hill, Garway Hill, Ruardean Hill, May Hill, and Seager Hill. Ruardean Hill was almost a drive by, Seager Hill was a bit of a nettle fest. The other three made the day. | Longwojo | 10/06/2023 |
Having survived the track, just a 0.5 mile walk to the top and impressive 360 degree views. | Newton Maximus | 21/05/2023 |
5/5 Marilyns today, parking near phone box on main road or up very bumpy road to parking for 7/8 cars, my car is quite low and I made it up there but if you've got a Ferrari then park by phone box. Through gate and right directly up to hexagonal pill box structure and trig, easy | Tribal2er | 05/03/2023 |
Easy stroll / run from Garway village to N | davechaffey | 15/04/2022 |
From Kentchurch, via footpath north of Kentchurch Park then up the ridge. Returned by Herefordshire Trail. | davidpettit84 | 10/04/2022 |
Parked on verge near White Rocks and followed path to access land. Instead of heading straight up to summit I contoured across south side to look at a remarkable silver birch which has been forced to grow in a loop. Path ascending south ridge has good views west. Very nice hill and clarity today excellent. Some hail showers over near the Malverns heading across but I had left before they arrived. | Nick Canute | 01/04/2022 |
Parked on the road at SO 4429 2663. Had no map, so cut along the E side of Burnt House Wood & then up to the ridge of the hill & picked up the Herefordshire Trail to the summit. Impressive viewpoint. Back via the HT. | DanMaisieBex | 25/02/2022 |
Car service in Tewkesbury, so persuaded Shaky into driving around 4 Gloucestershire & Herefordshire Marilyns for the day. Glorious weather. After May Hill & Ruardean Hill, Garway Hill was next & best of day. Wye had flooded roads, so wasted time diverting by Monmouth & parked by decrepit phone box E of the hill. Walked up rough track to the access land & then to summit saying hello to the ponies. Superlative view from the breezy summit. Back by the same route. | NotReallyABagger | 22/02/2022 |
Turn off at the derelict Sun Inn and head up a rough track to find the parking area. This is a lovely hill. Enormous open, horse cropped, grass moor. Steady slope to the top marked by large brick hexagonal structure next to trig. I laboured up the hill into a very strong head wind that literally took my breath away. This was my third and final bag on a day marked by Storm Dudley. | Pete West | 16/02/2022 |
Parked in village. Lovely views. | Play2End | 30/10/2021 |
Parked at the end of the road up to White Rocks (space for a couple of cars) 439244. Followed main ramblers marked path up through Garway Common to summit. Nice short grassy path all the way. Returned the same route. 1.3 miles. 32 minutes return. | JulieB | 08/10/2021 |
Parked at Garway Hill Car Park which is up a very rough road, would have been better to park by the post box and walk up. | paulhilder | 25/08/2021 |
Totally missed the car park and ended up approaching from the west having parked up in a layby opposite a chaps house. Followed the signage and a farmer politely explained the best way up - with thanks! Bumped into a couple who seemed very lost with frantic map spinning galore; hope they found their way back to the car park?! Nice brick structure at the summit providing much needed shade on a hot July day | jamiequackers | 16/07/2021 |
From minor road to SW near Kentchurch. with K. very windy, but good views. | IanHHill | 21/05/2021 |

P to E near post box. Bracken covered hill, but plenty of wide green tracks. Pretty good summit views, though some distant views in mist today. Visited 'White Rocks' & also walked to mast. My 1000th Ma. | ger | 24/12/2019 |
Easy loop from the lane to the east. | milimana | 15/10/2019 |
With K. Parked at phone box as others where there are delicious damsons. Local advised we could park at end of track adjacent to common. There is space but track is rough. | Ashley | 09/09/2019 |
Missed turning for car park shown on Google Maps, so up track from North past radio mast. | prwild | 31/08/2019 |
From the decrepit old phone box, SW up track then NW over common to trig and high point. | NormanW | 20/07/2019 |
With all the family from the footpath to the East of the summit past the radio station.

The summit has a strange combination of a roofless hexagonal brick structure and a shallow square ditch. Does anybody know what these were for? | Ham and Skate | 27/05/2019 |
From east side, up the road/track into open grassland summit area. 4/8 | N.Morters | 01/05/2019 |

From NE starting at 442254. Up the track, over a stile and across a common to the summit hexagon. | Topographer57 | 13/08/2018 |
Took the opportunity to take in this summit whilst in the area exploring historic St Michael's church which has links to the Knights Templar.
Parked close to phone box, strolled up the lane and across the common. Hot day so took my time and enjoyed the views. A nice end to a lovely day out! | Gerry the Ranger | 22/07/2018 |
Marilyn 4 of 7 today. Parked at church, walked up road a short distance then took the right of way up through trees, through a gate and then over pasture to the summit trig and interesting building on summit. | assynt_bob | 30/04/2018 |
Really pleasant walk up here even if we were stuck in the middle of a cloud for the whole way. | Alex C | 27/01/2018 |
With TJB. Parked at old pub and walked up very icy lane and across common to the top. Superb viewpoint today as Black Mountains, Malverns and other surrounding hills all snowcapped as was Gaway Hill | trimarc2 | 28/12/2017 |
9/11M from cp up rough track from the phone box. | robertphillips | 20/10/2017 |
From the phone box, and up the track by the ex-pub. There is a car park at the end of the track, but not ideal for cars with weeny tyres. A very nice stroll up the hill on a grassy track with excellent views. No idea what the brick structure is for. | Gill | 13/10/2017 |
From Garway Hill hamlet. | Winterfloodian | 08/10/2017 |
Clear day, great views, dry, warm | MarkGD | 13/07/2017 |
