Parked at Duncton Viewpoint car park. Track through the wood not obvious, but spotted it from the road. Pleasant woodland track, then along the main path around the quarry edge, another woodland track going S, then around the field edge to the WWII monument. Summit just inside the wood.LizH15/08/2023

Branched off the South Downs Way and headed through the woods. Summit is indeterminate but definitely claimed via the head height rule. Walked to Amberley via the Monarch's Way and only saw four other people in two hours - who says the South Downs are crowded? This was my final Hump in section 42.Richard19/06/2021

A little bit of the South Downs way and byways through woods to the high point marked by flint cairn and memorial to crew of Lancaster that crashed during WWII. Beautiful sunny day before heading back to watch HRH Prince Philip's funeral.Buck17/04/2021

From the chapel to the south. Another hill with a memorial to the crew of a crashed plane. Utter carnage on British hills during the war it seems. Ventured into the wood but impossible to identify an obvious high point.Herbert Anchovy12/09/2018

10 ascents of the Downs over 7 hrs working our way along zig zagging up and down from Cocking car park to Grafham and back (no summmit today). With L and Betty the Jack Russell. Good amount of up training gearing up for Langdale OMM next month. nicely sheltered in the woods during heavy showers except for the last hour of torrential downpour and 40 mph winds . Strangely exhilarating as we ran through it. Meanwhile Hurricane Irma was battering Florida. .Chris Pearson10/09/2017

Our local hill from 2005 when we moved close by - became a favourite tough hill run up from Upwaltham and its lovely ancient 900 year old Norman chapel. Overshadowed by the sad memorial near the top to the eight crew of a Lancaster bomber from 617 dambuster squadron that lost their lives here. They had returned from a bombing raid against the Antheor Viaduct in Southern France and after a 3 hour stop for debriefing and meal at nearby Ford were flying back to Lincolnshire in low cloud.Chris Pearson28/10/2002

Parked at the viewpoint on the A285. From there used some of the numerous paths to reach the summit. Visited the 253 spot height on the 1:25 and the 255 spot height on the 1:50, better to be safe than do it again.garyhoney05/08/2000

On Duncton Down viewpoint- Graffham- Littleton Down- Upwaltham- Stone Street- Duncton Down viewpoint walk (13 miles). The section of the walk from Upwaltham was best, and I didn't even mention the Hu summit in my log book's route, but photographs show I went over it- at least on the bridleway. Going on my brother's visit on 15/03/2017- a walk from the Duncton quarry- confirmed this Hu, as we made a forensic trample of all possible bumps in the summit area.pwheeler17/07/1993
