From Inverlochlarig. Lower slopes very boggy, good going wending through the crags to reach the N ridge, then extremely sketchy soft snow on very steep grass. The summit was reached with relief, and the views were extensive. Over Meall Reamhar and Creag na h-Iolaire and down the ridge of Creag nan Saighead. Lovely and sunny in the glen. 12.5km, 4h 30 | Rockdoctor | 31/03/2024 |
From Inverlochlarig. Steep climb from the footbridge. | govanah | 03/10/2023 |
Solo from Inverlochlarig Farm. Good track along River Larig and over excellent new bridge. Heavy rain and poor visiblity. Very steep SW then up N ridge to Stob a'Choin summit. Along the ridge in very limited visibility, over Meall Reamhow North Top, Meall Reamhow, and Creag na h-lolaire. Descent to N via Creag nan Saighead and back to the bridge. | John Lee | 14/07/2023 |
Parked at Inverlochlarig for a circuit of 5 Simms and an HF (and a few subs). 6/6 | PGCE | 20/05/2023 |
Parked in the car park and followed the farm road through Inverlochlarig and on to the splendid new footbridge. Then followed the SMC route up the desperately steep ascent of the Stob a' Choin. Then along the ridge visiting Meall Reamhow North Top, Meall Reamhow, and Creag na h-lolaire; before a tricky steep descent to Creag Chaorannach, and on to the pleasant little bump Cnoc na Nathach. Then S to N along the Stob Breac ridge, where the going is much easier. Visited outlier Beinn Mheadonach, An Stuchd, Sob Breac Far South Top, Stob Breac South Top, and finally Stob Breac. I did not fancy a lengthy steep descent after so many steep sections already. So, I backtracked to the col before the south top, turned west, taking a gently graded grassy rake with a stream much the way to the top of the forest. I then went down the gap followed by the stream with a dog leg to the grassy forest road. Much of the route was slow going, so a 9 hour trek trek covering 20km with 1400m of ascent. | silveracorn_alan | 25/08/2022 |
From Inverlochlarig, circuit of Stob a Choin, Meall Reamhar N & Main, Creag na h-Iolaire, Creag Chaorannach and Cnoc na Nathrach, returning down Glen Sgionie. The ladder stile visible from Cnoc na Nathrach is not a good entry point to the glen - I would try the following the burn from the SE corner of the forest next time. | TRG318 | 14/04/2021 |
Straightforward route up break in forest from car park at Inverlochlarig to Stob Breac, An Stuchd, Beinn Mheadhonach, Creag na h-Iolaire, Meall Reamhar and Stob a' Choin. | sclater | 07/02/2020 |

Probably not an easy one to find on a misty day. Thankfully crystal clear skies today. | summitter | 05/11/2017 |

From Inverlochlarig, taking very steep direct ascent of Stob a'Choin, joining N ridge above the crags and visiting the slightly lower tops as well as Stob a'Choin. Along ridge to Meall Reamhar,Creag na h-Iolaire then descent N along pleasant ridge with slight path and less steep ground. Clouds covering the tops. | RobertP | 19/02/2017 |
Inverlochlarig by bike to footbridge then straight up to Meall Reamhar with no problems and along ridge to Stob a Choin. and NE back to bridge. Steep in places but no problems. Made very early start to beat the forecast snow and rain but it did not come until it was getting dark several hours after I got back. | dickscroop | 08/11/2016 |

Circuit from Inverlochlarig | rjf35 | 23/07/2014 |
Solo from Road end. Cut over bridge to old farm, burn ok but tree cover made for hard going. Track and bridge faster if less interesting option. Steep up through wet grass to gain North ridge. Both tops to ensure summit. Onto sub Hump and other tops to Graham Stob Breac ridge. Mist and rain swirled in after the sub, end of photos... | nordicstar | 11/08/2013 |

Solo fr Inverlochlarig. Up NE ridge and down directly NNW/N from summit (of Stob a' Choin). Bright day, cold W wind, I had to wait & try to avoid sheepgathering at farm when returning east along tracks in valley. | NorfolkPT21 | 25/10/2010 |
