Up Glen Kinglas by bike leaving it under the power lines, then up the NW ridge. Started too early and cloud was still down and vegetation white with overnight frost. Tricky navigation to the 2 Ben Vane North tops. | NormanW | 03/04/2023 |
Parked at end of Glen Kinglass for a circuit of 3 Simms: Beinn Dubh, Ben Vane Far North Top, Beinn Chorranach. Up via Abyssinia, down to phone mast. | PGCE | 19/09/2022 |
Weather fair. | MountainMac | 12/08/2022 |
Loch Sloy, Beinn Dubh and Ben Vane. | quadbarrel | 18/07/2022 |
Walkhighlands route from Inveruglas. Didn't fancy returning by the steps and scrambles so followed the ridge to Beinn Dubh via BV North and Far North Tops then down to the dam. Cross the burns higher up before descending: the last one is tricky to cross lower down. | TRG318 | 29/06/2022 |
Directly up onto the ridge from Abyssinia. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 18/08/2021 |
From the Vorlich North Top, down to the north bank of Loch Sloy. Fell in the stream which made for a cold, wet assent of Beinn Dubh (many false summits). | JAdair97 | 22/05/2021 |

From Power Station with Fiona, Ben Vane, along ridge to Beinn Dubh, down to Loch Sloy. Chalmers No.36 | agentmancuso | 13/07/2002 |
A quick descent from Ben Vane and this summit was reached. On the way a Golden Eagle was seen flying between Ben Vane and Beinn Chorranach. The route back to the car was hampered by a new plantation plus it rained heavily on the two mile trudge. | garyhoney | 19/07/2000 |
Evening round of Ben Vane, north of Loch Sloy and Ben Vorlich with AJ. | Eddie | 03/06/1992 |
With two friends and my son Jonathan after staying at Crianlarich Youth Hostel (the old one - to be closed the following Monday). From the view point car park, Inveruglas. We climbed up the south slopes and over minor tops to Ben Vorlich Trig point, the main summit, and the north summit. We continued via the north end of Loch Sloy to Beinn Dhubh, minor tops and Ben Vane. Descended by the west ridge. Very hot and sunny. | pwbellarby | 01/06/1985 |
