Rode in from Nethy Bridge to edge of forest, seeing three capercaillies en route. Heathery lower down but good going from 650 m. Descended to the Allt Bheadhair where a quad bike track eased the last km. | AndyS | 12/10/2023 |

Parked on wide verge near Loch Garten, cycled to Forest Lodge [road is now gated], then following tracks crossing R Nethy on bridge N of the lodge, following main track S to a junction at NJ025145, E past Loch a' Chnuic to Faesheallach Burn, S along the burn to NJ054139, then directly SW upslope to the N ridge of Carn Bheadhair, and up to the summit, descending E of N to reach Burn at NJ058132, crossed to join the track, then returned as outward (5h30m from Forest Lodge) | kdbennett | 07/05/2022 |
