Parked at the Sugar Bowl car park on the ski road. (£4 for all day.) Headed for the Chalamain Gap on a good path that seems to get a bit better every time I'm on it. The rocks in the gap itself were very slippy with ice, so escaped up the slope on the north side and arrived at the summit. Fantastic views all round with the sun splitting the azure sky, enhanced by a partial cloud inversion. With Nozzer. | BigJ | 16/11/2023 |

Circular overnight route from Coire na Ciste car park. Sunny and warm conditions with excellent visibility. Followed path heading NE contouring round hillside, eventually climbing to join ridge leaving a short distance to climb and reach Creag nan Gall. Continued to Stac na h-Iolaire and camp near pt737. Inversion in the morning, and continued (missing Sron a' Cha-no) to Cnap Coire na Spreidhe and summit of Cairn Gorm. Along northern corries to Fiacaill a' Choire Chais, Stob Coire an t-Sneachda, Cairn Lochan. Descended to Fiacaill na Leth-choin (barely a top) and the impressively located Creag an Leth-choin [Lurcher's Crag]. Over Creag an Leth-choin North Top and descended to SW end of Chalamain Gap, taking a good path to Creag a' Chalamain. Descended via Airgiod-meall to return to start. | RobertP | 31/05/2023 |

From Loch Morlich CP. We intended to continue on to Carn Eilrig but the headwind funnelling down the Lairig Ghru brought us almost to a stand still. After retreating north to an early lunch opposite the Feith an Eirannaich the wind eased a bit so we ascended directly east to the col and then the top. We then went to Castle Hill and down to the west end of the Eag a Chait and the muddy path back to Rothiemurchus Lodge. Sunny. With Karen. | ChrisR | 20/03/2022 |

13 of 14 on tough 18 mile hike. Really didn’t like the look of the height on this after the rough slog I’d already had but wasn’t too bad in the end | The-Z-Man | 02/08/2021 |

Just under 14 miles out and back from Sugar Bowl car park, the usual route through Chalamain Gap and up ridge onto summit of Braeriach, great views from the summit stretching from Lochnagar and the southern Cairngorms all the way to Morven in Sutherland, descended over Sron na Lairige summit and Creag a' Chalamain summit avoiding coming through the gap again. Sunny/high cloud all day, windy on ridge but not on summit of Braeriach, saw about 10 people all day. | DanTrig | 19/06/2019 |
