Ever since I drove up Bealach na Ba many years ago wanted to walk to these peaks. Cloud was just above these summits whilst shrouding Beinn Bann. Parked at the top of of the Bealach as I did not want to miss a view. Took around 15 mins to this point. Company: Soloiandesbottes13/01/2024

1st day of an OMC camling meet at Applecross with Andy Whitehead and Simon Walsh. Starting at the Bealach na Ba car park around 09:45, we headed up the track to the Transmitter, North Top, then south and east to the main summit. Returning the same way. Thick mist to begin with then some breaks between the two summits and heavy rain once back at the Transmitter, returning to the car for 16:00chillyman821/08/2021

as prelude to RBS HWC weekend in Torridon. I drove up from Edinburgh on the Thursday evening, stopping for a fish tea in Aviemore. The weather forecast for Friday differed significantly between XC, MWIS and BBC with MWIS predicting weather armageddon of wind strong enough to hinder walking, heavy showers all day with possibility of sleet and thunder! It rained heavily at breakfast time. I opted to drive round the coastal route to Applecross and either climb this Corbett from the top of the Bealach na ba or have lunch in the Applecross Inn. I stopped for coffee in the Applecross Inn before drive up to the head of the pass. I passed a SUV and trailer with a 6 wheel all-terrain vehicle that suggested there was a stalking party around. After I had changed into my walking gear at the top of the pass the SUV drove into the car park. I spoke to the stalker asking it was ok to walk up to the mast and on out to the Corbett. He said his party were on Carn Dearg and that I was welcome to the Corblangskill24/08/2018

Tour of Sgurr a'Chaorachain and top in snow squalls from road summit, nearly.Eddie12/11/2000
With two friends. We parked beside the bridge where the Applecross road crosses the Russel Burn. We walked NE to join the ridge coming down from Beinn Bhàn. We ascended this ridge easily, going over a couple of minor tops with impressive views of A’ Chioch. We reached the summit of Beinn Bhàn where we had lunch. We went SW over a minor top and found a stalkers’ path going down to Bealach nan Arr. We followed the path which continued beyond the bealach under Carn Dearg. We left the path to go S to reach point 776m, and over two minor tops to reach the summit of Sgùrr a’ Chaorachain. We descended the steep slopes to the SE. They were easier than expected with small rocky steps, where difficulties could be easily got round. The weather held good all day in spite of the forecast not being all that promising.pwbellarby08/11/1997
