Parked the car to the East at the road junction 76221 43705 and walked down the road to Llyn Dubach and using the track climbed Y Garnedd, continuing over to its North top and on to Lyln Bryn du to climb up Y Gamallt. From here I crossed rough ground to reach the minor road north of the car to find the foot path up to Llyn Conwy, before the building on its shores I followed the wall up to Pen y Bedw. From here the ground got rough and boggy over to Foel Boeth and dropping to the the track at the South end of Llyn Conwy following this to the road and back to the car. Fourteen mile in just over Seven hours. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 19/03/2022 |

Parked by Lyn Dubach (SH 746 423) for a circuit of Y Garnedd, Y Garnedd North Top and Y Gamallt [Graig Goch] (went up gully NW of summit and traversed ridge). Probably a nice area, but the mist was down so I didn't see very much. | PGCE | 14/08/2021 |

A circuit of these lovely hills from the parking area by Lyn Dubach (SH 746 423). First visited Y Garnedd , then across to Y Garnedd North Top, past the shooting box and between the two lakes, then up Y Clochdy and onto the magnificent ridge of Y Gamallt. What a stunning location, never been before as no Nuttalls in this area, but reminded me of wild Loch Loyal and the far north. Superb!! Helped by the stunning September day. Quick return down the ridge to the cart track and the B4407 to Lyn Dubach. 8.5km, with 400m ascent in 2 h 30m. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 20/09/2020 |
With Rufus from the anglers track to the south. Followed spongy track towards the lakes but a faint sheep track to the right just before the first outcrops quickly turns into a decent trod along the top of the ridge all the way to the summit. | jacobrichmond | 29/05/2020 |
With Rufus from the track E of summit, a surprisingly straightforward Migneint summit. | jacobrichmond | 24/03/2020 |

Me and Alf.Easy stroll from road to the East. | jrj | 09/03/2017 |
Tried to park at entrance to track at SH75332 43029, couldn't so drove along the track to the end. Perfectly good turning circle there. Followed path and quod bike track to foot of Y Gamalt ridge and climbed up on good path to the cairn on the top. Continued on less of a path until a broad valley was reached to the N. Down valley side and along bottom.Out into heather when path disappeared. Reached fishing lodge at SH74520 44333 then on to top of Y Garnedd NT. Again dropped down into a valley (wet) and then up to top of Y Garnedd. Last bit quite steep. Followed ridge down to NE and eventually cut across knee deep heather for 1/3 mile back to car. Couple of barbed wire fences to negotiate. One where BW strand had gone and the other using a gate. Ground generally soaked but a good walk all the same. | MikeM | 19/01/2017 |
Off-road parking at 745424 & up quarry track to Y Garnedd Y Garnedd North Top Down to former Shooting Box & across between two lakes Path up dry valley below Y Clochdy & then SSE along decent path to summit cairn Path down S. ridge & then picked up ATV track to start of track at 751433 & back to car. From the road to the E. Tough going - there is a faint path but I only found it on the return. There is a sensational surprise view over the Gamallt Lakes upon reaching the summit. | Chris Peart | 08/09/2016 |

Llan Ffestiniog to Penmachno via Moel Wnog and Y Garnedd North Top. Ground was partly frozen so conditions were not too bad. | Alex C | 25/11/2013 |
the only good thing about this ascent is the ample parking at the road junction to the SE. It took me 2 hours for the 2 1/2 miles over trackless spongy moor. Horrid! | arranc | 23/07/2013 |
Nice views from the ridge. | JohnStoneham | 06/05/2013 |
Easy parking at Y junction to SE. 1st 200m easy - following fence after 50m. Then knee high heather and bog until the outcrop is reached. Its a false summit - don't climb it. There is a small path that takes you around the right hand end and then to top. | destaylor | 04/11/2011 |
