Started from the quarry (? waste tip for a mine across the road). Walked to end of road and then up track. Left track at SH 67186 34394 and crossed moorland to fence. Couldn't find a style so climbed over SH 67336 34657 and turned left. Followed fence to obvious notch in the ridge between Clip and Moel y Gyrafolen and then on to top. There is a cairn but it's not the top. Top is a small outcrop. Reversed route back to a small plantation and then down the track back to the car.MikeM30/06/2017
Staying at Tallin farm so walked from there.Up Cwm Moch to Moel y Gyrafolen and then Foel Penolau (yes, I did both peaks) and then on to Moel Ysgyfarnogod. Great views of the Llyn Peninsula, particularly on the way down. Saw 2 or 3 people but only in the distance.tsharp03/06/2017
Parked on large area of quarry waste alongside minor road to S.E. at 683336 (Space for 3 or 4 cars) – Along road towards farm & then up track to 670345 – Up hillside to gate & then stile in wall corners, about ¼km from summit outcrop. (S)gerrybowes25/03/2017
Continuation of walk from Craig y Gwynt. Returned to bwlch, then over Pt. 421m and down to a stile. Then up north ridge on a path weaving through the crags to the summit. Continued over Diffwys to Foel Penolau. Solo.Man of Kernow118/09/2016
From Llyn Trawsfynydd up metalled road to Cefn Clawdd then on track to small plantation. Easy enough on grass from there with gate and stile to cross walls near col. Returned same way in light rain.SS30/04/2016
From the road by the lake, very wet and boggy at the start.DARRENG17/10/2015
Parked at 683336-off road on some minor quarry workings.Followed footpath over river and followed path signposted to Cwm Bychan(quite wet underfoot). At the head of the pass followed the path to Clip, then continued over remaining Northern Rhinogs round to Moel yr Gyrafolen. Then dropped down to small woodland and followed track back to metalled road and the car.Rob5006/04/2015
Parked at end of road to SE. End of road to East seemed unfriendly and probably tricky to park. Good track then quad bikes and a few bits and pieces. Followed wall to near summit then a gate and a stile.destaylor09/10/2014
As part of a circular walk from the minor road junction to the east of Ffridd Lwyd forest. The summits on the route were Clip, Craig Ddrwg, Corn-y-stwc, Moel Ysgyfarnogod South Top, Moel Ysgyfarnogod, Foel Penolau, Moel y Gyrafolen and Craig y Gwynt.JohnStoneham16/06/2014

No view today as the top was shrouded in fog. I took the track from just before the farm then ascended by the side of a wall to a wall junction with a gate and ladder stile leading to the summit.clivevilla05/05/2013
Start ~ 683335. Took the hill track up from the farm and then took a direct route up to the col from a small plantation next to the track. Summit is a fantastic view point.steve hudson30/11/2012

Northern Rhinogs ridge including all listed tops from from Moel y Gyrafolen to Rhinog Fawr, with Mark, Andrew and Chris. Parked at SH683336.davidpettit8424/03/2012
With MJ, DP & CA. See David's log. Complete traverse of Nuttalls, Deweys and other peaks north from Rhinog Fawr. Is it summer already? Interesting granite terrain!AGWilliamson24/03/2012
Same as AW and DP on CUHWC Easter trip, in a March heatwave and glorious sunshine. Very rough and slow going on majority of route, but fascinating terrain and a real sense of exploration.Mark Jackson24/03/2012
Added to the Nuttall walk.David Gradwell25/07/2011
Northern most summit on the "ridge" 3 high point but the GR is within 10m of my preferred option. Makes a nice final top if combined with the two northern Nutalls when walking from the Eastern side with a reasonable set of tracks back to the park point.Rhayader_wander14/01/2007
