Parked 907452 off road just past gateway followed good footpath up Llechwedd Ddu then just as path starts to descend followed wall line to summit. Boggy, heather bashing carried on to Graig Ddu then dropped down to track to west and returned to car. Southerly approach to summit of Craig yr Hafod with hindsight is an easier approach.Rob5027/11/2016
Craig y Garn, Graig Ddu and Craig yr Hafod from E end of Lynn Celyn. Paths through fields were quite confusing in places and surprisingly wet and boggy in places! Saw a Barn owl perched on a branch just above ground level only a few yards away.RobertP02/10/2016
Parked at Llyn Celyn. Pen Garneddwen, Foel Boeth, Carnedd Llechwedd Llyfn, Carnedd Y Filiast, Waun Garnedd Y Filiast, Craig Yr Hafod, Graig Ddu and Craig Y Garn. Some horrible heather bashing en route!!AlunRees3108/07/2016
From car park at Llyn Celyn, Graig y Garn, Graig Ddu, Craig yr Hafod, Foel-boeth, Pen Garneddwen. Few paths once on access land.ijpowell13/05/2016
Small parking area (2 cars) at start of PRW at SH90782 43748 PRW to Cae-hir & Hafodnwydog Across a mixture of tussock grass, heather & bog to wall corner on the bwlch Up path alongside wall & then a short walk across heather to the summit stones. Continued to Graig Ddu. (S)gerrybowes10/05/2016
Continuation of walk from Graig Ddu. Heather bash down to the bwlch, then easier going up by a ruined wall, with another short heather bash to the summit. Walk continued to Carnedd y Filiast. Solo.marktrengove24/04/2016
Parked at Cae'r Gerrig and followed the path over the style to climb Craig yr Hafod and then Graig Ddu. Quite a bit of off path stuff, ploughing through boggy land and heather and billberries.clivevilla03/02/2016
Parking near Hafod-yr-Esgob i first climbed Graig Ddu,followed the high ground to Trum Nant-fach and then climbed Moel y Gydros making a great circular walk.mad max23/06/2015
From layby on B4501 up farm track then bit of a trudge through heather over Criag Ddu and Craig yr Hafod, particularly beyond latter. Easy track up Moel y Gydros then down to south and along access route (difficult to follow at first) and a mile of road walk.SS05/10/2014
Third on way round to Carnedd y Filiast, after Graig Ddu. Difficult walking through heather.Wheelsy21/06/2014
Parked easily on road by track to farm about 300m along from the telephone box. Most paths - particularly on Open Access - either tricky to follow or works of fiction. Ample heather and bog.destaylor26/03/2014
Navigated from Graig Ddu, in the clouds all the way.JohnStoneham16/11/2011
