On way up to Cruach Ardrain I figured this would be the easier option rather than the route on fallon's website. Actually thought I was on Ardrain only to get to the top of Garbh and seen the massive hulk of what I still had to tackle.bowzi17/10/2009

Solo. I drove to Benmore Farm just short of Crianlarich. Walked up approach track to Ben More initially, but then crossed Benmoor Burn and climbed SSW to reach Stob Garbh, subsidiary top of Cruach Ardrain. Descended over Stob Coire Bhuidhe and by Portnellan Cottages. Misty high up. I drove back to Stonehaven.pwbellarby10/10/2004

With friends. From Portnellan Lodge Chalets we walked to Benmore Farm and ascended Benmore Glen. Struck up the hillside to Stob Garbh and continued to Cruach Ardrain. Went on to Beinn Tulaichean. We returned by contouring to the east of Cruach Ardrain and to the west of Stob Garbh and then down the ridge over Stob Coire Bhuidhe direct to the chalets. There was no rain on the walk, but it started as we reached the chalets and continued on the entire journey home. Cold.pwbellarby21/10/1984

We (Mike Geddes and I) awoke on the Saturday morning to the noise of ice moving on the River Dochart and Loch Dochart. We ate breakfast reclining Roman style on lilos. We planned to do a short gully climb on Stob Grabh which is an outpost of Cruach Ardrain. We set off up the glen. On reaching the head of the pass we turned our gaze towards our objective to be confronted with a mixture of cloud and a few uninteresting gullies. Regardless we pressed on, strapping on our crampons at the foot of an indistinct gully. Although the crampons made the snow climbing much easier, you neeed to be really fit to get the full benefit of front pointing. From the top of the gully we headed for Stob Garbhlangskill15/02/1969
