Godre Fynydd from GR: SH 77022 09913. Attack point SH 76043 10117, 540m steep heather bash through the clearing. On descent found a path into the Open Access forest east of the fence line which returns to the track at the start of the forest. Would be a much better ascent line, look for a dead silver birch tree at SH 76075 10116 for the entry into the forest.ronaldo33306/01/2024

4/4...headed to eastern edge of forest and continued to descend - the track on R comes along eventually but seems further than expected. followed this track then forced a way through trees - suspect I could have stuck with path to avoid this. The summit is above tree line. Then another vague path gets more defined descending through forest to well made track - followed back to start pointwychwood03/07/2023
Heather and grass summit in clearing. Approached via Forest track to N, then short thrash through boggy vegetated area not planted with trees. Parked near col on A 487.Continued north along ridge back to car.Denise 17/10/2022
From forest track to NNE. Up heathery break keeping close to the forest on its E side, pathe through forest emerges just below the summit mound. Unmarked high point in heather, bilberry & moss.RichardM17/10/2022
Parked in the car park at Aberllfenni, and walked up forest roads with a short but awful ascent up a steep slope in newly planted area onto the ridge between Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron-fraith - heather, bramble and rotting wood! Once on the ridge all pretty straightforward, first to Mynydd Fron-fraith, then back track to the high point of the day at Ceiswyn, then by ATV track and forest road to Mynydd Cwmeiddew, and further forest roads with a short bit through the forest into open country to Godre Fynydd. Finally, a descent down a delightful forest path NE brought me back onto the forest road above Aberllfenni, then with a big loop round back to the car. Good views of Cader. A round trip of 16km with 700m ascent, taking 5h 20m.silveracorn_alan09/08/2022
Parked at the mountain centre on the A487 grid ref 73887 09200 and used the footpath opposite to reach the forest roads to Godre Fynydd and Mynydd Cwmeiddew finishing on the open hillside for Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron-fraith, returned by the same route. Eight and half mile in Five hours twenty (I did start off the wrong way down the forest road at the start probably lost forty minutes).WAYNE ROWLETT29/05/2021

Godre Fynydd, Mynydd Cwneiddew, Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron Fraith. Parked in layby on A487, walked half a mile south down the road then east across a field to avoid the grumpy sign on the entrance to the forest track. Tracks until NW of summit, then pushed up through trees to emerge conveniently close to summit. Spotted a small path descending on W side: followed this easily down zigzags through the trees to ascent track - somebody had been busy with a chainsaw.PGCE07/02/2021
same day route as mynydd cwmeiddau ,made abad mistake trying to make a circular route of italong forestry tracks coming to a dead end and having to retracejohnowen21/07/2020
From Cwmrhyddfor Farm campsite along track to car park on A487 then onto path on other side of road following it to lane. Followed edge of forest to Mynydd Fron-fraith then carried onto Ceiswyn. Followed forest track to Mynydd Cwmeiddw then on to end of track through trees and up to Godre Fynydd.dgresty19/09/2019

Continuation of walk from Ceiswyn. Returned to the main forest road and followed it east. Then vegetated track north-east till it petered out at SH 75729 09957. Then worked my way round through scattered trees to a bluff at SH 75797 09925. Then followed old fence south-west to the summit. Returned by outward route. Solo.Man of Kernow117/12/2016
Godre Fynydd, Mynydd Cwneiddew, Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron Fraith. Parked in layby on A487, walked half a mile south down the road then east across a field to avoid the grumpy sign on the entrance to the forest track. At the top of the field I worked my way up tracks to near the first top and then made it up as I went along really.clivevilla20/09/2016

Parked easily at the Outdoor Pursuits center to west on main road - an ex chapel. Followed tracks to within 170m of summit then trees - not desperate as becoming mature. Then heather to top.destaylor16/04/2015
From layby on A487 up the ROW and along the ridge, then through the forest taking four Deweys. Great views of Cadhair. Return by forest track on east side. Surprised to see tarmac on the byeway over the pass.05/2014SS31/05/2014
First hill of day not greeted by a hailstorm (compensating for a wet pine thrash) and final hill of the year. Taking me to 99 Deweys to go and an All lists total of 3400.Martin R31/12/2012
From Mynydd Cwmeiddew, back to forest track then followed them to grid.757099. Pushed through conifers at end of track to more open hillside, then south-west through deep heather to summit.steve hudson21/10/2009
