As Gerry Bowes and others from the Glaslyn access gate- good tracks all the way, then clear bridleway up to view of the impressive water cut cwm below Glaslyn. Finally, pathless by fence and over to top. Impressive. Cloudy, showery grey day but plenty of light and views as well. Return via Banc Bugeilyn. With brother, Pete | pwheeler | 12/09/2023 |
Parked at the Glaslyn access gate then along track to Bugeilyn. Continued along track across Tarren Bwlch-gwyn to Clipyn Du. By far the easiest part of the walk as it was then wet and rough terrain to capture the four tops of Carn Hyddgen, Foel Uchaf, Foel Isaf and Llechwedd Crin. Sloshed up Banc Bugeilyn for good measure before retreating to the van for succour, tea and biccies. | summitter | 30/08/2023 |

1/11 I roughly followed GB's route from the cattle grid at 837952 bagging 7 Deweys and small detours to get 4 nearby minor peaks. Visited Clipyn Du, Mawnog, Carn Hyddgen, Foel Uchaf, Foel Isaf, Llechwedd Crin, Banc Bugeilyn, Esgair Greolen, Bryn yr Wyn, Foel Fadian, and finishing with Bryn y Fedwen. Some tough pathless sections, but also some quick bits with cart and quad bike tracks. Splendid views! A total distance of 27.5km with 980m ascent in 8.5 hours. | silveracorn_alan | 09/04/2022 |

An evening sunshine cycle from Glaslyn to quite near the summit. Fab and wide views. When I say 'cycle' I mean I wheel my little Dahon up anything more than a slight incline and wobble and scare myself in descent. Where is the fun in cycling? | Martin R | 30/08/2011 |
Started from the forest tracks to the west. If you can drive in it only involves 2-3 miles of walking, otherwise a fairly big yomp. | DARRENG | 11/07/2011 |
