Beinn a' Chlachair, Geal Charn and Creag Pitridh from Loch Lagan. Bitterly cold wind.Geoff Briggs10/04/2023
C Pitridh, G Carn and a’Chlachair in that order from Luiblea. Clag lifted quickly and all tops clear for me. Snell wind from SW (forecast said would feel like -5C w wind chill), lowering, racing cloud, occasional splashes of sunshine. Showers on descent, rainbows. Met large group (14) on G Carn. Fine Munro round with Peter on a perfect still September day.nix_snilloc07/09/2019
From lay-by on A86 west of Loch Laggan (NN 43294 83043). South across River Spean bridge then followed excellent Land-Rover track as far as Lochan na h-Earba then good path up to Bealach Leamhain. Short but easy rocky scramble up onto the summit plateau. Small cairn at Beinn a' Chlachair East Top then difficult navigation to the Munro summit through hill fog and across a mass of shattered rock and boulders.david23020120/08/2019
Circuit of Beinn a'Chlachair, its East Top, Geal Charn, Sron Garbh and Creag Pitridh from Moy Bridge . Outstanding views in all directions. Got so absorbed in watching two roe deer at quite close quarters that I fell into a hole between tussocks on the descent from Pitridh. Then, while resting on the sandy beach of Lochan na h-Earba, the wind switched direction and sand-blasted me with stinging quartzite granules...Nick Down123/06/2019
From layby at Luiblea, biked in to stalkers track, track to high point, up rhs of cliffs, faint path, over E.top to summit.iangalbraith23/06/2019
With Linda Sim & Lorraine Cooper Day started out promising but a couple heavy showers, low cloud on the summit & no sign of it lifting the decision was made to only do the one munro. Was taking ages to navigate our way from the summit, checking the compass bearing every 20 paces. Not much wildlife, heard a ptarmigan that eventually showed itself flying away from us.LizzieG09/06/2019

Great if quite a long day . Climbed with A and D. Took the long way up Beinn a Chlachiar (walked all the way up to the col) and would have been more entertaining to go up the obvious shoulder, Great weather and view though. 3 hours to first top and 5.15 and 6.00 to the other two. glorious weather after yesterdays thick cloud. We find a key in the house that fits the gate padlock and gets us a further two miles along the track untill we hit snow on the track deep enough to make it hard enough to reverse out of. looking up at Pitridh now it is definitely little more than a carbunkle on the face of a loftier friend. Head for north ridge to the west of the quarry. Put on new crampons for the first time. Superb long distant views a total contrast to yesterday.vegibagger13/02/1996

We planned a reserve day at Culra and had fine weather for all of our stay so we decided to go up this mountain from Culra together with the other 2 Munros. This group are usually climbed from the Laggan side. Dave Hewitt noted in the Walking the Watershed that going up a mountain 'the wrong side' often gives an untracked and remote experience and this was certainly a wild route. Waded barefoot across Allt Cam at 483773 comfortably, where it is shingle and mud, used the stalkers path to get into Coire Beag a'Chlachair then ascended its ESE ridge. This had a 10 ft rock step, best taken direct, with scrambling moves. Threatened showers were clearing before we got to the broad summit and we got marvellous view of Loch Ossian and the best view of Ben Nevis this week. With brother, Pete.pwheeler26/05/1994

With Martin66. One of our daftest days out. Set off late afternoon via the usual route. Realised after an hour that we both had maps but neither of us had a compass but pressed on because the summit was clear. Of course the clag came down as we reached the top! Missed our way on the return following a path which dropped E (unknown to us). Imagine our surprise when we arrived at Loch a'Bhealaich Leamhain! Problem was we could find the outflow but couldn't find the opposite end of loch because of the visibility & no compass. Eventually paced out distance from outflow using the map & I noticed a change in vegetation when standing at what proved to be the right point to exit the loch bowl. Out in time (just) for last orders at the Drovers. Compass planted permanently about my person on the hills ever since!NotReallyABagger03/08/1990
