Cripiau South Top > Cripiau Far South Top > Ffrwd Ergyr > Peraidd Fynydd > Cefn Chwarelmelyn > Cefn Chwarelmelyn East Top > Cefn Croes > Banc Dolwen from GR: SN 79380 83028ronaldo33330/09/2023
Parked at the entrance to the wind farm at 794 830. Followed the access road up to just under Cripau, where I cut up, heading for the North Top and then the South Top. Returned to the road and followed it to 805 820, taking a ride to the east of Peraidd Fynydd and then up through the mature trees to the summit. Next diversion from the road was easy bag of Cefn Chwarelmelyn on the right, followed by Cefn Croes on the left. Kept to the road, taking the right turn to 794 787 to take the ride to Banc Dolwen. Descended to Afon Myherin at the bridge. Followed the road to the bothy at Nant Syddion, then double backed on myself to take the bridleway up to the ridge at SN 768 786. From here followed the delightful ridge past the trig and Pen Dihewyd, Y Glog SW top (at 547m) and the main summit of Y Glog at Draws Drum. From here followed ATV track past the lake to the SW top of Peraidd Fynydd (554m) and then via the gate and track to access road. 28km with 1100m ascent, taking me 7h 45m.silveracorn_alan09/04/2023
Revisit in passing. #4 of 7 from SN793830, then via the lower W summit to the N topRHW21/01/2023
Parked at Forestry entrance amidst the Highway Maintenance vehicles as major roadworks on main road. Thick mist and failing light. Hundreds if not thousands of starlings swooped over me time and time again near the final bend on the forestry track.Campbell Singer15/11/2021
Via the wind farm track.Chris Peart17/08/2021
Parked at entrance to windfarm 1km S of Eisteddfa Gurig for a circuit of 5 summits: Cripiau South Top, Cefn Croes, Banc Dolwen, Pen Dihewyd, Y Glog.PGCE09/02/2021
From layby south of Eisteddfa Gurig for a round of Cripiau South Top, Llechwedd Hiroed both tops and Drybedd.rhalstead01/08/2020
from n top then down to log road and on tracks tp peraidd Fynydd (west)pt 557underhill22/07/2020
From layby at 795830. Via logging trail to the bend at the col. Short pull on grass to the top.Moorponder18/07/2019
From Peraidd Fynydd East Top. As the forest tracks were rather circuitous and the trees seemed fairly well spaced I decided to go straight for Cripiau South Top which was a mistake. It was OK initially but there was a bit half way that was almost impossible with numerous fallen trees.clivevilla03/05/2018
Fourth of five Dewey's on a walk just over 17mile in length starting from a lay by on the A4120 near Tymawr camping first onto Pen Dihewyd, Banc Dolwen and Cefn Croes, after Cripiau S top onto Y glog. Returned to car via B4343 which is not a busy road.WAYNE ROWLETT31/03/2018

From A44 at 793830, up Wind Farm service track to Cefn Croes & Banc Dolwen. On return, parked on bend at 801826 - Over fence & then a short steep climb up grass slope to summit knoll. (PM)gerrybowes24/01/2018
Parked on the service road on the bend. Very windy, especially on top. Only 15/20 minutes with GB.bolton24/01/2018
On my way back from Pembroke. Drove on wind farm track with the result a very short easy walk. Now find a way to Bryn Du (and Llechwedd Llwyd). It looks possible a couple of ways by car. All a bit naughty thoughMikeM23/09/2017
Walked through the trees and out onto the hill from the hairpin bend in the forestry on the 500m contour. Shame a lot of junk has been dumped here. Nice summit, but horrendous weather today.Neolith15/05/2017
2/9 Hot day (Crippau North Top/Crippau South Top/Peroidd Fynydd/Frwd Ergyr/Cerrig Gwynion/Banc Bugeilyn/Bryn Yrwyn/Pumlumon Cwmbiga/Carnfachbugeilyn)Fergalh08/04/2017
Continuation of walk from Pt. 510m. Followed the high ground south to the summit. Walk continued to Pt. 557m. With AW.Man of Kernow102/04/2017
From Cefn Croes, track to 803825, then a bit awkward getting out of forest, but then easy to a nice summitAlanD22/03/2016
From entrance to forest up track then cut up to Cripau South Top, back to tack via forest rake, then on to Cefn Croes and beyond to Pen Y Garn. Followed track round to the rake (with yellow markers) to Banc Dorwen before dropping down to the Afon Merin. Followed track up past Nantsyddion then up to top track before cutting up just beyond Pen Dihewyd (double back to it). The going from there to Y Glog was easy enough before the drop down on the right of way to Fagwr-Fawr and then up past the old mine to the car. Excellent outing.SS04/04/2015
As part of 9 Dewey round - access to the hill from Eisteddfa Gurig difficult - but no problems once on the hillwychwood29/11/2014
Parked easily at beginning of track to W. When leave the track no trees to negotiate.destaylor06/08/2014
