Moel Feity to the source of the Tawe, up to Llyn y Fan Fawr, along the Beacons Way to the foot of Fan Foel, round towards Llyn y Fan Fach but cut up a steep path to the bwlch between Picws Du and Fan Foel, Picws Du, back over Fan Foel and Fan Brycheiniog, back down to Llyn y Fan Fawr, followed a river to the road, finished with Cefn Cul at sunset. On my own, sunshine with some cloud and quite windy at times.clyoung24/04/2022

2/6 Dewey day. From parking near summit of minor road at SN 855 233 across grassy moorland using ATV and sheep tracks to the top of Moel Feity. Then back across to the car, straight across the road and along vague ATV track over wet ground, then up the opposite slope, hopping over the fence and again small tracks to the double cairned summit of Cefn Cul. Back along vague sheep tracks to the car. (S)silveracorn_alan20/07/2020

Small parking area on W. side of road at SN85564 22345 - W. along track for about 50yd to start of ATV track - Up ATV track which eventually disappears, but nevertheless a straightforward ascent over decent terrain to the unmarked summit; the cairned top 100m to the NW, which at first sight appears higher, is lower. Parked at SN 85564 22345 then headed straight up Moel Feity. Back down, over the road and fence then up to Cefn Cul. Easy going, some slightly boggy ground but plenty of sheep tracks to follow.Neolith20/07/2017
From minor road to SE. Easy going. Visited all possible tops. The highest one didn't have a pile of rubble (long may it remain so) unlike the one to its NW.Alan Moore17/06/2017

Walked on a round of Yr Allt, Moel Feity and Cefn Cul. Parked in the layby at SN 87739 20244. Walked NE on A4067 to pick up tram way at SN 88088 20587. Followed tramway to where it crosses Nant Gihirych and then walked E keeping forest on right. Came out on track above forest at SN 90190 20842 and then to top of Yr Allt. Walked back to track and left it where it does a S bend and crossed moorland to SN 89247 81854. Followed track down to A4067. Crossed to Cray reservoir and followed track to Blaencrai. Used field path to Cwm Padest then road to Cwnnenynydd. Turned L and followed track up to sheep pens and crossed moor to road. Out and back to Moel Feity. Then across moor and up to top of Cefn Cul. Followed track and eventually walls down to SN 87116 19657. Followed old railway bed NE back to layby. Route follows a mixture of sheep trods, tracks, some vague, and moorland walking. Good views of Fan Gyhirych, Fan Hir and Fan Byrcheiniog. Quite a few barbed wire fences to negotiate.MikeM25/07/2015

Parked at layby by stile but had to go 100m uphill to cross bog. Going tussocky to start but got better on way to Cefn Cul. Returned to col over better ground then easily up Moel Feity on shorter grass. Returned same way and down road to car.SS18/03/2015

Down to the Brecons for a few days to help supervise a Gold D of E group with Jenny L and Peter from Seaford. Time inbetween meeting the group to snatch a few hills. Crossed over this hill on both days of OMM 2013 as it was close to the start/ finish. c.point at marsh close to summit on day 2 before a mad mud sprint down to finish with a flapping shoe sole.Chris Pearson20/04/2006
