Cefn Coch-Coety Mountain-Coety Mountain Boundary-Gwastad-Mynydd James-Mulfran from north. Couldn't say much about first 3 as visibility down to about 30m which made things interesting. Happily cleared for middle part of day.TK09/03/2024

Parked in the free car park by the duck pond at SO 21836 06176. Took the lane above the church to near Gwrhyd, then bracken-choked RoW east up the cwm onto the plateau. Then good tracks through the heather sea and pathless 80m to the summit. Returned mainly by outward route, but continued up Cwm Tyleri, and down to the reservoir for downward route. Parked on the road to the south of the trig point in thick mist and followed the track most of the way north up to the high point. Found I had taken the westerly track instead of the easterly one so had 350m of crossing heather at the end. Very bleak up here today and hardly any visibility. Keppt thinking I was going to loose the dog! Glad I had the GPS with me to identify the high point coords.Father Ted08/04/2019
3/3 - from CP at 2018109 - in fine weather - headed down track then onto ridge - windy from SW - ended up quite a lengthy ridge stroll - feels airy and is very empty as you head Swychwood19/02/2019

Coety Mountain, Coety Boundary Top and Gwastard ( careful how you say that one), with Scout from Big Pit car park; hard walking underfoot at times. Dry weather.Lou12/05/2018
Lots of space for parking at top of mountain road at 241033 – Followed vehicle track to 2339 0552 & then headed SE along a wide cleared area for about 140yd to the high point; this lies a couple of yards S. of the cleared area & is marked by a small pile of stones hidden in the heather.
