Parked in the car park on Fairmile Road, then followed a path up through a herd of wild horses to the top. Walk continued to Fell Head. With JT and HT.Sprog17/09/2017
From Joss Lane Car Park, Sedbergh (SD 65916 92184) - Winder - Arant How - Calders - Bram Rigg Top - The Calf - Bush Howe - Fell Head - Linghaw - Brown Moor. Long road walk back to Sedbergh.david23020113/10/2016
With Jo, from same parking area as Dangerous Dave: along bridleway over Castley Knotts to Brown Moor, the contoured fell to where fp crosses Blind Gill and onto Linghaw. Returned along fp to near Beck Houses Gate, then along wall beneath Castley Knotts to bw back to car. Weather; generally sunny with light breeze, good visibility though cloud covered Lake District tops by the time we got to Linghaw.amblerbob09/10/2016
With Penda. From carpark near Fairmile Beck - where I wild-camped that night. Up to Linghaw col, then to Fell Head, then on to Bush Howe and return over Fell Head and Linghaw top. 1500-1800, clear, cool, occasionally sunny.beorwulf19/09/2016

Linear walk from Fairmile Gate - Sedbergh, with Lindsay and Frank, taking in Linghaw, the 5 Western Howgills Nuttalls again, and Arant Haw. Horrendous day - clag down at 1000ft., strong SW wind and intermittent rain.Crib Goch24/01/2016
Parked at cattle grid at Fairmile Gate but there's what appears to be a purpose made parking area a little further north. Linghaw, Fell Head, Simon's Seat, Docker Knott, Hand Lake, Uldale Head, Blease Fell. A lot of up and down and not really a logical walk, but bagged 6 new tops and revisited a mountain so satisfying from a box ticking perspective.ijpowell21/08/2015
Parked at Fairmile Gate west of Fell Head, followed small sheep paths and crossed brooks just above the field boundaries west of Howgills, got very wet crossing the raging torrent of Chapel Beck but got across and climbed up to Arant Haw (New one for me), followed ridges to Calders and The Calf (I last climbed these in 2005), then climbed over Bush Howe, ascended Fell Head, and descended over Linghaw (all new ones for me), quite cool weather because of high cloud. Great walk.DanTrig15/08/2015

Ample parking on the unfenced road to the west (bear in mind that you cannot park on the fenced road anywhere between the open moor and Sedbergh. Then an easy amble to the top.moorsman20/06/2011
