From small parking area on minor road to west just past Gibbet Bridge. Track up to Linghaw then well used path along ridge to Fell Head and Bush Howe. Hot, hazy day. Lots of fell ponies about.Lazylizzie09/06/2023

Bus to Slack's Lane. walk via Castley Crags and Linghaw to travrerse Fell Head. After Linghaw, dropped down to tiny road and onto Tebay via road and path on east side of River Lune. Bus from Tebay to Penrith - train back to Kendal. Superb day. 10 milestrimarc214/10/2022

From parking above Carlingill Bridge on unfenced road. Followed good path/track to top in mist. The W wind bought clag and noise pollution, but at least little precipitation. back same way, with Pete.pwheeler16/06/2021

18 miles 4906ft walk, start at Cross Hall Farm Caravan Park Cautley, Take A Pennine Journey Path to Cautley Spout Tongue, up Bowderdale Head to the bottom of Randygill and climb to Summit, back down to Bowderdale and follow briddleway to the summit of The Calf, head west to Bush Howe, Fell Head and Linghaw, return to The Calf Summit then head south on the Dales High Way to Calders,head east to Great Dummacks then follow ridge down to Crook Holme and back to Cautley.stephenbuda09/09/2020
